Vote Record Silver > Jaz Dan > Potent Theo > Maddog KPO > Jortles Rummy > Jaz Tranter > Potent Maddog > Theo Potent > Rummy Jaz > Dan Dan > Potent > Theo Jortles > Dan
This was the count in D1 prior to Potent asking for an extension due to BKB's absence. A few things I notice. I can't say that I've picked up on Rummy's apparent tendency to distance the way others have, but made me think about how for a while Potent had a strong reputation for voting for his teammates also. He votes for Rummy to start D1. And I think moves surrounding Potent could possibly tie in to the Jortles whack. Tranter said he didn't think Dan would whack Jortles if he was Mafia, but would Potent? Jortles voted for Dan shortly Dan moved off of Potent. We know now that Theo was Inspector, but I could see Mafia choosing to whack Jortles because they thought he might be Inspector with Potent's name.
Other than this I don't really have any big suspicions of Potent. I wasn't the hugest fan of his strategy regarding having Inspector and Oracle come out, but we usually oppose on strategy and regardless it seems to be working out alright for us so far.
Also worth noting that Kanye was the first to move towards voting BKB straight off, which KPO also did four minutes later. I don't think either of these were necessary moves at this point of the game, though obviously some townies thought exiling him was a good idea. Then Potent moves his vote off of Rummy and onto me before other moves to BKB.
I usually hate the “misdirect tho?” angle especially after N1 but D1 was so bizarre and not standard...I think Theo might be onto something that Maf just wanted to whack someone who led to...literally nowhere/no one.
Hard to tell if she's being forthright about about them whacking someone who was a dead end for Town, or if this is just what she wants Town to think.
Those who locked on BKB D1: Dan, Silver, KPO, Jortles, Tranter.
Jortles obviously is town, so look at Dan/Silver/KPO/Tranter.
I will say that the lock on BKB felt on brand for Tranter, a guy who likes to lock, so when shuffling through those four players, Tranter is lowest on my sus list.
Looking back at this, we know that Tranter is town too. This means that either one of Dan/Silver/KPO is Mafia, or it was just a bunch of Townies being impatient and none of the Mafia piled onto BKB.
Not long after this Potent unveils his strategy for Inspector/Oracle, and we vote out Rummy. Still find it odd that Potent was advocating for exiling Tranter though. I can't understand that logic since it literally only helps Mafia.
Some quotes that I want to ask questions on and don't want to forget:
My biggest worry is Rummy, Theo, and Tranter all conjured this up to carry Tranter to the end. Far fetched but I could see those three itching to do it
At one point KPO oddly suggests that Theo/Tranter/Rummy could be Mafia together but he quickly retract it. Looking back this could read as a potential trial balloon to see if any Townies want to run with the theory.
I dont like that Jaz said he agreed with everything Ive said and then after that thought voted for me. He said that every time he agrees with me it means I am mafia, but why would you vote someone off that agrees with you?
I understand your point about me voting for someone that I think seems townie-ish, but a couple games back when you were Mafia you were my biggest townie read throughout the whole game. You may find it suspicious for me voting for you while simultaneously finding you townie-ish, but that's just me learning from past mistakes. I try to avoid repeating the same mistake if I can.
Sooo that's what I've got from my reread. I think style-wise Potent seems townie, but his vote movement and his pushing to exile Tranter really do give me pause - enough to make me not completely comfortable, at least. I've got big question marks on KPO and Maddog - I feel like they've both walked that line of appearing the contribute without actually saying a whole lot. Drips and drabs here and there (though I suppose I'm not really one to talk on this front). KPO also piggybacked onto BKB quickly after Kanye placed his vote and proposed the Theo/Tranter/Rummy theory. Both of these are kinda sus to me. I could see myself moving to KPO over Silver here but I would like to see some responses first.
