The Shining is one of my all-time favorites so that's what I went with, but Breakfast Club is one of those movies that I would enjoy watching at any given time.
Six hours is too short. I agree. I slept through the entire voting window.
I'm not sure how to better announce it to *the general public* than having its own thread titled "The Shining v The Breakfast Club" though.
I'm not saying that there was a better way to announce it to the general public. I'm saying that the general public is anonymously answering which is your favorite movie of these two while the thread voting was in the context of the 80's and part of a tournament's worth of rationalizing. Nothing wrong with doing it this way. Just my opinion on why the results were significantly different.
