I know I’m missing a few artists. But what does everyone think the chances are that we get a nice chunk of acts that dropped out this past year appearing on the 2022 lineup?
Tool, Miley Cyrus, Oysterhead, Vampire Weekend, Tenacious D, Slowthai, Lana Del Rey, King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard, Janelle Monáe, Altin Gun, Dababy, Deftones
That’s already looking pretty stacked. Or is it a total wash and Roo will book from scratch for 2022?
Early morning ramble coming in. I’m getting ready for work, listening to Cypress Hill (I’m 40) and I forgot they sample the harmonica part from “The Wizard” by Black Sabbath on “I Ain’t Goin’ Out Like That” and it accrued to me that the ship has probably sailed on Sabbath ever playing Bonnaroo. One of my all time Roo wishlist headliners.

Kali Uchis, Vince Staples, & Teezo Touchdown are all touring with Tyler next spring from Feb - early April, no TN date. I don't think any of them have popped up on European festival lineups/announced dates outside of that ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Not certain she'd headline but definitely could be a sub on her day. Played in 2019 but that honestly feels like it was ages ago
It’s funny you bring up her subbing - if I had to guess, it would make sense, especially as Bonnaroo keeps dipping its toes more and more into country beyond just one legacy act a year, and it seems like with the new movie and everything this album is going to be promoted hard - but while I really like single, I can’t imagine it being a pop crossover or it being a country hit even if “Rainbow” was. I feel like I’m way off base here but she almost reminds me of Robyn or something, where she has an insanely dedicated fanbase that seems way disproportionate to how popular her music is. I’m really, really curious to see where she goes with the rest of the album and to see if it actually charts or not. And of course what kinds of venues she ends up touring.
Mon: Tool | Miley Tues: Lizzo | Rufus Wed: Kendrick | Lana Thurs: MMJ on Which + small bands Fri: SZA | Skrillex Sat: Lady Gaga | Megan Sun: Fleetwood Mac | Kacey Musgraves

In an effort to talk me down off the ledge after the cancellation, my wife just said she might be willing to go stay with her parents with what’ll then be our 7 month-old so I can potentially go to this if it otherwise works out.
That being the case, I’m guessing we’re looking at Post Malone / Kanye / Imagine Dragons as our 2022 headliners.
