Frusciante Chili Peppers are always preferable to Klinghoffer Chili Peppers.
But who in the year of our lord 2021 is excited for an RHCP tour?
I agree that Frusciante Chili Peppers is the best Peppers; but I have seen them both ways way too many times and don't need that experience added to my life again.
I would see them at a festival or depending on who the Co-Headliner is.
I've seen them twice and both times was a great show but I'm not in a big rush to see them again.
My problem with them headlining Bonnaroo for a third time is that they'll be unopposed. I've already seen them headline six festivals and there's nothing new to be gained from the experience.

Good point. Maybe if they had an amazing new album out I could see but I don't see that happening anytime in the future. Or wait, have they done the play a classic album in its entirety yet? That might be a draw but I agree there are numerous other bands I would rather see unopposed.

Since they have Frusciante back, the only "classic" album anniversary show I would want to see by them is Blood Sugar Sex Magic.
I saw Billy Idol last night with Liz Cooper opening. Liz would have fit right in on Thursday. Billy played the hits and had energy. Not sure where he would fit on a Bonnaroo lineup but I had a great time.

That night still represents the worst conflicts I've ever had at 'Roo. The Jim James Superjam, Billy Idol, and "Weird Al" Yankovic were all at the top of my list that year! So I started at "Weird Al", bounced over to Billy (but it was a slower part of his set), and then to the SJ.
Obviously ymmv depending on how funny you think he is, but Weird Al is an excellent live performer
Absolutely. He crushed it at Governors Ball 2015, and was the only act i saw get an encore just because the crowd wouldn't shut up and leave once he was ostensibly done.

I saw Billy Idol at ACL a few years back. It was pretty incredible. I would love to see him on the farm.
