If Bonnaroo was smart and not booked by two middle aged guys, they'd be booking acts like Teezo Touchdown, BLACKSTARKIDS, Paris Texas, Jean Dawson, Terry Presume, Willow, Binki, etc that are taking pop-punk and emo sounds and blending them with hip-hop. I've been seeing more and more acts like this pop up and it's just getting more popular. I think by Summer of this year we'll really see this sound blowing up.
We've had trap and drill popular for a bit now and I think people are ready for a change. Especially with how older pop-punk bands like MCR & more have both stayed popular and are becoming cool again. I've been watching this trend grow since last year and it's not slowing down.
