This stuff has zero chance at being booked at Bonnaroo, Coachella, ACL, etc. It'd be like if we looked back at Bonnaroo 2004 and it was headlined by Blink 182, Good Charlotte, and Gym Class Heroes.
That music is great for teenagers, but doesn't age well at all. Also, can we keep MGK and all other accused sexual predators away from Roo this year.

Because the target demo is 14-21yo, not exactly a crowd that can necessarily go to a 4 day camping festival very easily. Firefly gets roasted for some of the cheesy pop-punk bookings, leave that shit over there.
Now if roo wants to go back the token punk acts like they did in the past (NOFX, Against Me, etc) I'd be completely cool with that.

It's popular with younger people, of course it's going to be polarizing. If I didn't grow up going to Warped Tour and was deep in that scene I would have probably shit on it too.
Look I'll just come out and say it, I would go see All American Rejects if they played Bonnaroo.
I caught the All American Rejects headline a weird show. Ozomatli opened, then Hoobastank, and finally AAR. My buddy and I lasted maybs 10-15 minutes before we left to chat up the other bands who put on way better shows.

I don’t know the other two names but come on. MGK is a flat out poser and follows it up with an inability to make good music. There’s a difference between the 2000’s emo/pop punk scene and sad boy core shit.
mgk is someone that's lovably cringey to me. he just tries so hard but also lives a sweet life and his pop punk stuff is in the guilty pleasure territory. i really wouldn't mind him for bonnaroo.
