Premise:
You have been selected to book a hip-hop festival in the city of your choice, in a series of festivals across the world. Acts can be shared between fests, but not after they have already been selected.
The Draft:
This will be a twelve round blind draft, performed by sending me a PM with an act, within 24 hours of my post of the previous round's picks.
I will collate everyone's picks and post them as quickly as I can after the deadline, but if I receive all drafters' picks sooner than the 24 hour limit, we will move on to the next round. Acts can be selected by multiple drafters in the same round, but once picked are off the table for later rounds.
Picks can be sent for the next day as soon as I have posted the previous round's picks. This means Wednesday's pick can be sent Tuesday afternoon, as long as I've released the results. This should give everyone approximately 23 hours to make their picks.
Results will be completely anonymized; drafters are more than welcome to claim their picks, but not at all required to until the end. Any missed or late pick will result in the drafter getting the most popular act of that round by default.
Free agents:
After the 12 rounds of drafting, you can pick up to 12 free agent selections to fill out your lineup. Schedule it however you want, but you may have no more than 24 total acts. Some of these picks may be house DJs to play in between acts, but those count against your 12 FAs.
Eligibility:
No dead people. In cases of bands with dead members, the drafter must select replacement members when they announce their full lineup. Other than that, go wild.
To be counted as an eligible act, the artist must have the word "hip-hop" or "rap(per)" listed in the first sentence of their Wikipedia bio. If there are weird exceptions to that rule, please PM me.
Reveals:
Upon reveal of their full lineups, each drafter must declare the city their festival will be hosted in. I can help make posters, probably.
After the final round, I will post each anonymized lineup starting the next Monday, so you have the entire weekend to make your poster and schedule.
Voting:
There will be 2 rounds of voting: One to pick your top 5 lineups, and a second round where you pick the best of the top 5.
Sign-ups:
There are two ways you can sign up for the draft. If you'd like the public to know your presence, post in this thread that you want to play, and I will start a PM thread with you for your picks. If you'd prefer to remain completely anonymous through the process, send me a PM with the thread title "HIP-HOP DRAFT - YOUR USERNAME", in all caps please.
Sign-ups can be made either publicly or privately all the way until the round 1 deadline, which is Saturday May 8 at 12pm EST. There is no cap on the number of entries, and I hope a few people go for the anonymous route.

that's a leftover line from the stadium draft, but honestly I feel like it works here too. Not doing any kind of money making stipulation here but there's no reason you can't book more than one headliner per day

That’s 20 names. I don’t feel like the headliners would feel right unless you had some combination of two of those names on the list. If you have more than 10-12 participants, the pool is going to feel diluted.
