You drafted them after I closed up drafting. You had more than enough time to make the picks normally. I'll allow you to have them on your lineup, but they're not exclusive.

So there are certain directors who made films for European television. As long as they have played at film festivals do they count? Fassbinder's World on a Wire, for example.
Or does it need to be something like Fanny and Alexander that was cut down for a theatrical release?
I think it's pretty easy to argue that neither of these examples would fit the definition of a traditional "miniseries" as American audiences think of them.
I'm wanting to show something that almost falls under a series of short films but really doesn't fit the definition.

I think if you can produce a paragraph of why it should count, it passes the smell test
I'm Superfurryanimal and in this paragraph about why my pick of Dekalog counts I will explain why Dekalog counts. It's often described as ten short films. I'm allowed to pick a collection of short films. It's played festivals and it's had a theatrical release. Thirdly, it has been listed in many "best films" lists by nerds and acclaimed nerd collectives. The internet says a paragraph is at least 3 sentences. In closing, I want to pick it. So I'm picking it unless somebody wants to do a poll. Then I won't pick it because I don't care that much.

I spent about 20 minutes researching Dune's running time and then remembered I'm playing it last that night so it doesn't really matter.
Anyway, latest rumor I saw was Kevin Smith saying he knows a person who's seen it and "it's over 3 hours and amazing." I doubt that's the final cut tho. Probably just some test audience person. Going to just go with 3.

I’ve started mine, but I stopped because I was thinking I’d be able to finish it this weekend. Now I’m kind of regretting that. I figured out what free agents I want, I’ve got all of the times written down, and I know how I’m going to group them, so it’s just a matter of actually putting them into a schedule, but I’m realizing now that it’s going to be a pretty jam packed weekend.

yeah I think the key for the rnd31 stuff is putting it last or in its own big premier slot
I'm probably just going to do a week long thing. cant imagine watching 5 movies in a day w/o drugs and to do so consecutive days would be Herculean
I'm going with the theory that people will pick and choose. Not actually watch everything on offer that day. But I'm also running stuff twice so there's always more than one option at a time and, in theory, people should be able to see most everything they want to. Unless they are sacrificed before the end of the week.
Absolutely shocked that Shawshank Redemption went as late as it did
damn you dug deep for this
They told us new folks to dig around and contribute, I got here from the Draft Recap thread lmao. Some of the posters people have made for theirs are incredible
