Is it a requirement for metal bands to have the most unreadable logos? I can't read most of the second and third lines. Like... I'm certain that one on the third line is just a bunch of tree roots. Not actual letters.

The illegible band name thing is more popular with death and extreme metal bands from what I can tell. And you're right, it's extremely dumb. The tree root looking name is Blood Incantation, who absolutely rule, tree roots aside.

iirc, most of those extreme metal logos are made by one specific guy, who charges a pretty penny and spends days listening to each band before starting their logo. I wanna say he's Swedish
This is actually a super cool read. Thanks for sharing. It does make sense that music that isn't meant to be accessible to a wide audience may want some ambiguity in their logos.
And this Christophe dude has my dream job. Listening to music and creating logos all day long. What a life.

Pretty sure you're talking about Blood Incantation. Tbh, they're one of the best thing going on in metal today.
I think I've just become conditioned when reading those logos. Maryland Death Fest is waaaaaaay worse. It'll take you half an hour to figure out who exactly is playing.

I'm surprised there's no love for Converge on here. They're one of the best live bands in hardcore, and performing Jane Doe in its entirety for the first time is pretty huge. This will be my 5th time seeing them.

I mean on this specific thread on Inforoo, obviously. No one has mentioned Converge playing a once in a lifetime set of their seminal album.
