By solo, are you referring to in the body of the song, or would the opening solo/riff count? Sweet Child o Mine is one of the most recognizable songs within the first three seconds because of that sweet guitar. When Doves Cry has the similar opening solo.

For those saying Sultans of Swing, which solo? Aren't there two at about the 3:30 mark and the outro? I think I prefer Money for Nothing as more recognizable.

not sure if November Rain still gets radio play but Slash's solo is one of my favorite "popular" solos of all time. it's beautiful.

Tom Petty’s “Runnin Down a Dream”- we were up front for TP’s headline set in 2017 and watching Mike Campbell shred that solo in front of us to send the song out was the greatest moment of the two Mountain Jams we attended.
