There are too many cases where it's borderline to have a off limits list, and the burden is usually on the drafter to do the homework anyway. There are two major bands I'm expecting to get drafted who I personally wouldn't touch, but there are arguments to be made that they aren't toxic enough to go on a list like that. Same with like Phil Anselmo or even Melvins.

Gave an interview to Gavin McInnes recently. I think they're fine to draft, Buzz seemed oblivious to who McInnes was, but there are other guilty by association acts I wouldn't say that about.

Yea, he said he had no idea who that guy was. Never heard anything else bad about them.
How do you go about giving an interview to the founder of the proud boys without knowing who they are?
Very fair question, and a good example of why everyone should be obligated to do their own research and decide what they're comfortable with before drafting.

He said he does that regularly. He doesn’t usually bother to do any research on who is interviewing him. Which may not be smart, but it’s believable. More believable at least than someone like Phil, who said he was playing along just because he gets tired of being called a racist.

sure the other guy seems worse but your agent has gotta be really terrible to let you give that interview or someone in their squad is a fan.

I doubt Buzz has an agent. They’re very much a diy band.
I was googling Melvins manager. One of the suggested searches is are Melvins a good band? I thought that was funny. Can’t say I’ve ever typed something like that into google. But yea, they have a manager.

I didn’t know about The Proud Boys until last week. I’d never even heard of them until this stuff [about his interview] came out. I had no idea what they were, I had never heard of them. No clue. Nothing.
Remember, this interview was two-and-a-half years ago. So the interview itself is one of literally hundreds I’ve done since then. And believe it or not, not one single time do I ever do background checks on anyone I was doing an interview with. Like, I didn’t do a background check on you. I have no idea where you stand politically, if you’ve been arrested… I have no idea. I don’t do that kinda stuff. Nor will I ever do that kinda stuff. When I do an interview, I am solely there to promote myself and my band. That’s it.”
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round
