My top 3 was Metallica, Maiden and Tool. Didn't think about Rage, but the excitement for me to see them dropped a lot since they got announced for Coachella in early 2019 tbh so eh idk.
Here's my justification: any emo band that should be eligible will also include punk or hardcore somewhere in their descriptions. The rule as it stands allows acts such as Billie Eilish, Phoebe Bridgers, and Julien Baker
all the emo bands that should qualify are always listed as post-hardcore or whatever anyway
Yeah, that's why I wondered aswell.. Like emo stems from the post hardcore/punk scene right, so why shouldn't it be allowed? But if if makes other artists that don't make sense available then yeah. Then again, you could say that in the spirit of the game, people shouldn't pick these in the first place.
