JR pretty much has to be a townie, there is no way maf sat back and allowed an auto exile. I know the few times I've been maf they were on me constantly if I got too close to a deadline. MD and I were Mafia with JR once and he wasn't mega active, but he certainly didn't miss votes and participated much more than he has this game. So, I would agree with you here.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

my thought is that there have only been a couple instances of it happening to mafia (I believe you(?) and maybe Thor had a personal reasons absolute check out as mafia), but because of the expanded teams/length it makes more sense to really get everyone on a contact train early.

It would matter in that we might could glean something from his vote history. But we'd be a couple steps removed from any hard knowledge doing so.
As far as it being weird people think he's town. I feel like it's a fairly normal response in this game to say mafia would get all their people to vote? Doesn't make it true but it's far from the first time I've heard a statement like that.
I got off work a little early today and planned to sit at the hotel and catch up on stuff. Some idiot plowed into the car behind me and they slammed into me. So fun. Everyone was okay. Only had this car for 6 days and it'll be in the shop. lol
The thing that sticks out to me about the LD whack is that he said he didn't believe KPO. Then he never mentioned it again that I can recall off the top of my head. Probably means nothing. I thought he might have a role just because he tends to tense up and not posts as much but I don't think he was inspector.
So that's two whacks in a row that are KPO voters. BUT i think the logical argument is that a mafia still trying to kill inspector would have went for LD first. I don't know. That seems much more likely an inspector hit than Pablo. Just going off play styles this game and the fact that Pablo seemed to lose most(all?) his suspicion of a fake by the next round.

I feel like the whack of LD points toward one of the older players as they would know LD better than newer players, and thus might be afraid of him. That points to Capn, LLL, SFA to me. I'm still sus of SFA, but I'm going to vote for LLL based on this fact in addition to a few of her posts.

Just curious what the cutoff here is because I don't really think you need to be around that long to know LD is good at finding mafia. Seems odd to just point out 3 people here.
well I think more often than not people get lucky a lot more than anything and there's only a few people I'd make throwaway whacks because they make me nervous so idk that I'm a great judge on anything like that
but there are two scenarios to me
kpo was inspector and every whack past that is potentially meaningless grand scheme
or
kpo wasn't inspector and LD was their 3rd choice at inspector, after sacrificing their own
either way, Idk that "old heads think LD is good" is necessarily a thread I care to follow rn because it could easily just be a misdirect and I sort of feel like inspector LD w a given, a potential doctor save and a vigilante kill left on the table, with all his guesses, stays quiet past d4, based on my experience playing games where he's inspector
but d4 seems like a reasonable time to have come forward, a given, kpo, 3 guesses, so I don't think it would have been a bad play, I just think of him as someone who trends to hold out

I guess it's possible if 2 mafia are left w 3 players and the 3rd is vig the game SHOULDNT end, and should go to a tie, but there seems to be a lot of what ifs here which is why I thought we should've done the 2 exile day/night regardless
I think the stands out to me more than him being quiet is that he was relatively constant re his votes, not a ton of movement out of LD and a handful of the people he voted for ended up in the final runoff so he didn't even get many revotes
if we're thinking a number of quiet players are mafia, it's possible that in lieu of whacking the lowest post count player you whack the lowest movement player
