Cap’n has been doing this thing of being very inactive and then he’ll come in and fling around an accusation based on little to nothing, then go dark again. If he’s town, he sure as hell isn’t helping us pull out a victory. Ella has also been very quiet but at least when she does pop in to post, it isn’t “throw this theory at the wall, see if it sticks.” I lean slightly “uninvolved townie” on her right now.
I’ve really gone back and forth on Teddy. I think it should be Cap’n today, Teddy tomorrow most likely

I know this game has been a convoluted pain in the ass. But I encourage the remaining townies to look at who we know was mafia and who you think was PROBABLY mafia that we killed off and see if we can build some tangible voting associations. One of the best indicators, in my opinion, is when there are still a lot of Mafia left and one of them is in a pickle. We know they can hide well enough to make a move to try to save that teammate.
I think most of us have feel pretty comfortable with the idea that our Vig was a straight shooter and Jortles was more likely Mafia than not. Let's go with that idea and look at Day 3's runoff where Jortles was saved from being killed by townie, only to end up offed by the Vig that night. Silver was dead by now, so we know we had one Mafia down. Let's assume 6 are left. I would assume at least 4, maybe even 5 mafia are voting for Truevine here in an effort to save Jortles. We kbiw SFA was Mafia trying to distance. I don't see living players Dan, Sleepy and LLL being Mafia too, all voting for their teammate..... so you know that if you think Jortles was Mafia, which most of us have agreed that is likely the case, that Dan, LLL and Sleepy are likely not teammates with SFA. I could maybe go with one being a teammate. NO way more than one is. And I doubt one is with that slim margin that Jortles almost went out on.
Now lets look at who voted for Truevine. If we think Jortles was Mafia there are ABSOLUTELY 4-5 Mafia in that group. Three of them are gone and unknown, so we don't even have to worry about them. If they end up having been Mafia, yay us. We do need to worry about Teddy, Ella, Potent and Rummy. I think that if Potent and Rummy were Mafia I think Carini and I would have been whacked long ago because we have been on that theory like hound dogs days ago. Maybe one is trying to hide behind the other, like I said earlier.
But I think anyone who thinks that Vig was right with his kill of Jortles should looks at Ella and Teddy.
And Teddy's name just keeps popping up again and again. I think he ended up distancing from Tranter in the end because he was the least suspicious of the two. They were tied in pretty tight before that. He was a KPO voter. He was MD's last vote before MD was whacked. Tranter Teddy Jortles Alex also come up on that list with Silver on the Jaz voters day one.
I realize he is putting heat on me because I keep bringing him up. But I just can't shake this pattern I am seeing.

Still not sure why voting for a guy early in the runoff d2 who happened to turn out inspector makes me sus, even though I was literally the first one to vote Tranter and SFA the days they were exiled but w/e
I have no idea if Tranter was Mafia. So for you to but him on the list of exiles as Mafia with SFA is odd. I don't like the way his voting looked before we had multiple incidents of short rounds/exiles, but it doesn't mean he was definitely Mafia. You seem pretty confident to point out that you voted for him and SFA, so it is somehow a sign that you are not Mafia, because Mafia wouldn't vote for Mafia. You have voted for a lot of folks here. So I am noting that as a possible slip up there. And note, SFA voted for him day one when he was at risk of being voted off and didn't move, so if you are going with tranter being Mafia, then that is a clear example of mafia voting for mafia. I think it especially occurs when they are going up in flames really bad, and they need to distance at least a few Mafia to preserve some of the team and be able to come up with exactly the argument you just did.
But, lets say he WAS mafia. Then I would still go back to you because before shit started going south with short rounds and auto-exiles and tranter going down in flames, you two had the one of those strong voting ties I spoke of earlier. And, lets looks at who voted for Jaz first round then. If tranter was Mafia, one or two of his teammates may stay on him, but power is in numbers and Mafia would want to try collectively to save him. So I would assume at least 5 of his teammates would vote Jaz for power, maybe 6. I doubt less than 5 though because the voting ratio was so close.
Only Dan and you are left alive among those Jaz voters. If we are assuming Tranter was mafia, that is 3 strikes in the column for you in my little book, anyways. I may be wrong and am always up for discussion. I hate using information from so early on, but this is all that we have. If he was Mafia, I am sure we have a lot of Mafia in those Jaz voters. Odd considering who is in there. Since Alex and trav went out volunteerily or by autoexile, I knock them off of the list because that would suck for the Mafia team to lose 2/7 that way so I can't imagine that happened. That leaves Theo, Dan, Teddy, Jortles, Silver.
Like I said, I am totally up to listen to other folks with reasonable points. That is why I voted Theo, afterall. Because other folks know him better. Hopefully we have a few days to work all of this out still.

I am trying to write my paper but also drinking a little. But I really felt like Teddy was at least a shot. I know none of us know, and like Carini's conundrum, it feels like we are all getting taken advantage of by one another. But I am surprised folks felt like either your Capn was Mafia over Teddy. Who I find to be delightlful on other threads on the board, but I think may be Mafia.

I'm about 6 white claws deep and way more invested into mafia than I have been in ages. I'm trying to help town to a fucking W, so much that I actually grabbed my computer and have 4 different tabs open.
Rummy seems to be the best bet here (not that I'm convinced Cap'n is innocent). I've harped on the circle of trust thing several times in the last few days (carini knows what I'm talking about), and I'm really thinking Rummy could be the lynchpin of the whole operation. Go back to D3, Rummy had the deciding vote, planted it on Truevine instead of Jortles, got into a tiff with Pablo, pablo says she's sus, Rummy votes truevine even though after the fact plenty of people seem convinced the maf in that situation was Jortles, pablo (and jortles, thanks vig) wakes up dead, nobody even considers pablo's push at her and she doesn't get another vote until today. That's around the same time that rummy/LLL/dan/potent start eh process of sucking each other's dicks about how town they all are (page 53ish). Rummy hasn't done a ton of work since then, just posting fluff about group chats and being drunk and totally not mafia she swears. It bugs me that nobody else has questioned her act, the thing a few hours ago about how dan could slap her if she's wrong just doesn't sit right with me at all. Looking back at page 55, the way Dan waves off rummy suspicion makes me super sus of both of them, circle of trust bullshit amok. There's a lot of talk in the pages surrounding that about mafia misdirection, but sometimes mafia does the obvious thing they need to do and play it off as misdirection, it's happened a ton in the last dozen games or so. Even at that point, Rummy kept talking about how inncoent she was. Dan made a comment on page 56 that said "if rummy is maf I feel pretty comfortable that I will be able to sus it out" which days later screams collusion to me. She tries soon after to force rooloo to admit his role, which is always sketch behavior. (quick note, ella sounds into the idea of a mercy kill on page 59, which gives me a sliiiiight town lean)
Ugh, the middle part of this game has so much stunted growth from the autoexiles and such. And to be fair, all of my read tonight I came from a bias of looking for evidence that rummy is literally don corleone.

I’m not The Manipulator. Or even A Manipulator, but I recognize that there have been a couple things which could make one wonder if I am, especially if you’re LOOKING for reasons to find me sus as you admitted you were.
If this game continues after Cap’n goes here, I promise to look at things with fresh eyes and not just write off, e.g. Dan just because I’ve had a town read on him for a while.
