We wait until we have 11 signed up. If that happens before Aug 9, we start. If it doesn't, we don't. If we get 11 who are willing to play now, though, the show must go on.
One last thing... Multiple people (townies) were PMed (by the ref) to back off of Alex (mafia!). Then the Inspector, after questioning me (with my own words) as a person in game, PMed me while we were both still alive...
Hey man, wanted to get this out of the mafia thread. I understand your frustration entirely and I know there is only so much you could have known. Alex was combative with you and you didn’t appreciate the insinuations. That is totally reasonable. But I believe in certain situations where feelings are very raw, you can’t be defensive and sometimes need to turn the other cheek as they begin to feel more comfortable with who they are.
I’m coming to you as a friend of Alex who is fairly concerned with their mental state. I’ve had multiple boardies text me individually saying they are worried as well. Please just don’t poke that bear anymore. Alex is taking things very personal right now and I believe that more conflict could escalate things to dangerous territory. I’m not condoning Alex attacking you, but feel that this is something small that could make the world’s difference for them.
I'm the bear... Alex kept poking... I ignored a few comments from them. I made one post in reply to their comments... You, frankly, made a douchy reply at me. I wasn't the antagonist. I'm trying to be done with the topic. I understand they're going through issues, but they poked at me repeatedly. They signed up for Mafia. Maybe you should suggest your friend doesn't play Mafia. I'm not going to tiptoe around anyone in a game of Mafia.
I am and always was okay with peoples' identities. I empathize with Alex's mental illness. My character was called into question and I quit the game...
