still crazy about the studio version of Butter Rum. it's probably overproduced but the tonality hit all the feel good parts in my brain. great guitar solo as well.

Conscious Alliance is teaming up with Goose again for a poster/donation run for NYE. I got the TABoose tour one and liked it but like this one even more. You can donate money or cans of food at the show itself. There are limited regular and foil versions. Grab it now if you want.

Motherfucker. I got a text message at like 4 a.m. saying my Southwest flight was cancelled. But when I go on the website to check everything still looks totally fine. But if I try contacting Southwest or going to the URLs they are directing people I literally cannot get a call to go through or the web pages to load. I'm so pissed and have to find out whether or not I need to book other options.

If you have a capital one card you can book travel through capital one and flights are refundable.

I'm debating driving the 12 hours from NY to Ohio or if I should try booking a different airline. So annoying. And most of the stuff I'm seeing online is pointing out that it's not really weather but more Southwest's systems and management issues. So fucked.

yeah i'm sorry this is hitting you. just based on shit i'm reading on reddit (grains of salt) it seems like SW operates on an antiquated system for tracking their employees. a lot of shit has to be done manually, and with the storm shit got crazy and basically they don't know where any of their staff are. so they can't staff the flights.
i'd see if you can book a different flight with another airline if it isn't too expensive. save the message where SW said your flight was cancelled and then fight like hell for a refund if they don't give you one. this might be terrible advice.

In more positive news.....this is a sweet thank you to the fans and Goose community for helpipng grow the band after this huge year for them. They really are doing everything right in terms of building a brand and promoting themselves/growing as an act. It's crazy the journey they've been on the past year. Love this band. Just hope the record and poster side of things doesn't get as crazy as King Gizzard or Phish or whatever. It's already tough at times lol

Southwest's networks crashed nationwide. Staffing issues were likely involved as well.
I wouldn't trust SW for a little bit at this point.

Yeah after 16-20 phone calls that didn't work I gave up and will figure out what I'm going to do tomorrow. Might just drive even though it's super long. But there's also some convenience in having a car (instead of Uber for shows and stores/sight-seeing plus being able to pack more/extra stuff).

I'm not looking forward to a 14 hour drive from South Carolina, but at this point I rather do that.

I’m going to start ending all my advice with, “This might be terrible advice.” You’re then absolved of any accountability. Smart.

I'll be there both nights! Gonna get there real early Friday and get a good spot up close. Saturday I'm just gonna go with the flow. Not trying to battle with NYE freaks lol
Who all is goin' on Friday? I'm considering getting a ticket and would love to meet some of y'all!
shortlist of must see/do things in cinci?
Where are you staying?
- Walk thru Over the Rhine. It's a very cool bar/restaurant district. Really dense, interesting architecture, etc. Just north of downtown. You can take the free street car around.
- If you're into museums at all: The art museum in Mount Adams is excellent & free. And then the Museum center near west end is in a still functioning train station and is excellent. The building itself is probably the single coolest example of art deco architecture I've ever seen

Decided to bite the bullet and book another flight (one way) for way more money than I paid Southwest. Get in a bit later than I originally was but at least it's a direct flight.
Should be landing shortly after 8:30 pm tomorrow.
Also...anyone who is somewhat local and knows someone/somewhere to get some green herbal party favors please let me know . Flying in so not going to have my normal set up.

Grateful Dead after show a few minutes drive from the venue for Friday. May check this out if I can grab an uber or find a ride. If I'm not totally worn out.

it's only a 20 minute walk from the venue across the Roebling bride which is very walkable and has a great view of the city.

Got my Friday ticket btw!! Will be my first goose show. I'll be grabbing a drink before the show, probably at O'Malleys in the Alley if anyone wants to meet up.

Hell yes. Taking my dad to his first goose show. Believe we will be drinking at O'Malley's or the in-between tavern before the show.
