How you ain't never been to Texas? I love some Texas - probably been 20+ times but mostly to Hill Country. Food, beer, people, distilleries - all superb. We've had some good times in Houston too. It's so big that there's bound to be an assload of great shit there waiting to be discovered - particularly food wise.
I don't do a lot of casual traveling and I've never been booked to work in Texas
In 1993 (94?), the dude I was dating at the time took me to see Candlebox in concert at the Lakefront Arena. it was one of the worst performance I have ever witness. Was trashed, didn't remember lyrics, was way way way off key. So bad.
The only up side to that concert was this band that was just getting radio time and blowing up with this song called Tangerine. The Flaming Lips blew my mind. Even did the bubble walking on people thing. Then the disappointment of Candlebox happened.

I don't see an upside to this lineup. LOL
That's funny, they had like 6 albums out by then but yeah, I don't think soft bulletin was even out at the time so they hadn't really blown up yet

Ticketmaster sent me an email with the subject line "Go VIP at Inkarceration! You deserve it." which after looking at their lineup just seems like a needlessly mean thing to say to someone

That tour was my first concert. Both bands were excellent at the show I went to. There was another opener (Sweetwater?) that I never heard mention of ever again.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
It’s steep and yeah, I wouldn’t pay a grand. But if you were a skater kid (or used to be) who either has the disposable income or who’s parents do, it would be a good chance to meet a bunch of icons and get some autographs and shit. But not worth it for me if I was in L.A.
If someone had told me in 1990 that you'd have to pay a thousand dollars to see the descendants I'd think my drugs were bad
I didn't see Milo until they reformed after he graduated college (was like 86 I think) with someone else (?) and Angry Red Planet at an afternoon show at 601 Club (RIP). I think it ws like $7.00 for all 3 bands. I caught them again in 1997 with their side-band All at Rendon Inn which was packed as shit. Nostalgia must have been kicking in, but that was probably $10-12.00.

You want bill sperm with that?
haha, no thanks - just taking a trip down memory lane as Descendants don't come up very often.
