Sturgis is always bad but those bartenders make bank over the course of the week. Like 10k just in tips. The people that go to Sturgis save up for it all year and then go crazy drinking and tipping because it's more or less their only vacation. I've always wanted to work at Sturgis because of it.

Damn this does look awesome.. If only it wasn't the same weekend as Firefly.. hopefully some of these bands (and maybe some from Sound on Sound and Sea Hear Now) make their way onto Firefly's lineup whenever it's fully announced

yo la tengo would be such a nice add to firefly against green day or whatever. sure theyd play to a crowd of 20 ppl but i can dream
The Wiggins Park part of this fest is super fun, if I was 100% local I would go, but grad school and Firefly the following weekend will keep me out. If you see that Saturday line up at the Waterfront and are tempted, don't. Root Canals are more fun than literally any show at that venue. The Beatles could be resurrected and reunited and I wouldn't go.

Interesting but not surprising. The most money I ever made was subbing in as a bartender at a biker bar/concert at a Harley place. I didn't make that kinda bank but I made close to 1k in one night. What was surprising is that other than the regular Bud Lights, a large portion of my sales to men were Twisted Teas and fruity seltzers.
Ha! This is…. something. I had no idea Dangerous Toys was still around. It might almost be worth the price of admission to see some old dudes singing “Sportin’ A Woody” unironically.

I think they were the first band I ever saw... They opened for Aerosmith I think in the late 80s.

I’m sure I haven’t heard this song in 30 years, and it’s the only song of theirs I’ve ever heard. But my god, it’s even worse than I remembered.
