Here's a little something I put together for the fall in Knoxville.
man, a big boi/superdrag top line is wild and I love it.
Thanks, snowman! It oddly works well together. I guess because of age/when they first dropped. First Superdrag show in 12 years so I'm honored to be able to be a part of bringing them back for a show.
The did the 4 Tops dirty with that billing, though I'm assuming the 4 original members are dead.
86 year old Abdul Fakir is the lone surviving founding member of the Four who's toured with them since 1953. 2nd longest serving member joined in 1999.
They wouldve been doing lots of giveaways and discounts to make it happen. This has to be something else. I would assume its talent and had to be a top name that wouldve fucked them over if they cancelled.
I still think it's sales related - they waited too long to announce this lineup, not very surprised they didn't sell out especially given there are so many other festivals in the area. I hope this won't be an issue for TANP or PSLA.
Well apparently Daddy Yankee peaced out. Thats enough right there to make them cancel it. People wouldve been demanding refunds on that lineup change. I dont think they were worried about sales cause us brown folk wouldve just bought at the door and it wouldve worked itself out. They would make up any lost ticket revenue in beer sales anyway.

That's fair. And if the biggest name on the name canceled, there is not much else to do. Oh well, maybe they'll have it next year or something.
I think the wording makes it sound that itll happen eventually. Theres no way they can promise Daddy Yankee performs and keep everyones money til they sort it out.

They should just book Bad Bunny in the next iteration lol

They mightve been trying to get him to fill in but he couldve said no or LN asked for way too much bag cause of the Sofi shows and its not worth it. But considering the second Sofi show has lots of tickets left it wouldve hurt both events.
Now when it comes to Primavera and TANP? Prima is in the harder spot cause you know its a terrible value for what theyve got. And after the issues Prima is having in zbarcelona and LN's rep for fucking shit up that could be a turn off. Them still not relenting on giveaways and ticket discounts yet is gonna be something to watch. TANP likely has a little momentum after JLH cause theres audience crossover and it feels more like FYF. Now if the weather can be agreeable for late August theyll have a solid showing that weekend. Maybe people start buying if a schedule comes out early enough. Seems it played a factor for JLH sales even though it dipped. And there werent too many issues between Cruel World and JLH so they figured out Pasadena for the time being. And with Head In The Clouds before TANP, they have another event to work the kinks out in potentially similar conditions.

I wasn't aware there were tickets left for his second show - if it wasn't the same weekend at DD, I would've made it happen. But yeah, I think he was just too expensive for this lineup, maybe they might try him for another iteration in the future.
I think TANP is in a good position as you said, also both CW and JLH were very smoothly run. GV seems to have figured out how to produce a festival, especially compared to all one-day LN festivals. I really hope PSLA happens, given that the venue capacity is small (I believe it was 20k?), they should be able to sell enough tickets, but maybe with this price tag, many people are waiting until later to get cheaper tickets. In any case, I still think it will happen this year, but won't probably come back next year.
