there's some really good stuff on there. but those ticket prices... I was thinking like 150-200. $350 is insane
Well, Ticketmaster's "dynamic pricing" has moved the goalposts on what's insane, considering that $350 won't get even get you an arena balcony seat for some of the upcoming Springsteen shows. That's for just one band.
Depends on the location and theres $60 seats for some of the Springsteen shows right now on TM. Just gotta get past the bs that happened a few days ago.
The goalposts have moved because things are just more expensive. And given that a festival like Thing wants to stay intimate its very difficult to keep it cheap. 5 years ago that lineup mightve been $150 or so. Just more events to compete with and mid july is tough cause a ton of acts are in Europe getting better paydays.

Not in Boston, that's for sure.
I received the Verified Fan code on Wednesday, and by the time I got through the queue, I did see some single balcony seats pop up for around $150 each, which is within my price range, but every time I clicked on one, I got a message indicating that someone else had selected that seat.
I tried again when the official on sale went live 5 hours later, and all that was left were "verified resale" tickets, with single balcony seats starting at $350. I just checked again, and the cheapest single balcony seat as of right now is $577.

Lineup has been out for awhile but really excited for Secret Dreams coming up, a new fest created by Papadosio. Lineup is super cool and should be a really good, chill time.
this is the most out of place surfaces have ever been on a lineup
They really do seem like the kind of band that will literally take any offer given to them.
sometimes i understand why they end up on weird bills. maybe there’s similar bands on the bill, maybe it’s a free thing for families. i literally do not understand how they’re playing this small country fest rather than one of our college tailgate shows or their own headline show here.
also my photo pass request for that fest was received and approved within an hour so that’s a new record.
Wish that happened for more events instead of telling you the week of.
yep. sent out a handful of requests yesterday since my contact at a venue is ghosting me and now it’s back to crickets for weeks, except for one who promised a response within 48 hours.
Don’t know where to post it but did anyone else see the videos and stuff about Kultureland festival and them breaking down the fence and storming in because they changed the venue location last minute.

For anyone in the Boston area who digs world music/ethnic folk, there's a free festival on the BU Campus this Saturday from Noon - 9:30 pm and it sounds like a lot of fun.

I started lurking this board about a year ago to prep for my first trip to Big Ears. This is a one-day event in Columbia SC that I did the booking for. Hopefully some of you might find it of interest. It's free.
