$119 for a two day pass $269 for a two day VIP #329 for a three day VIP with a Friday party
Going to buy a Sunday pass. From research, most everything I want to see is Sunday (Isbell, Stringdusters, Pigeons, Neal Francis, Ghost of Paul Revere).
And now former Buffalo Bills kicker and all time leading scorer Steve Christie on site jamming and hosting an in-festival tailgate during the Bills game. I mean how much more local festival can you get.
Alaskan graphic designers need to go back to school
What school?
I hate how accurate this is, especially as someone with a degree in CGD.
Once I got an email from Adobe that's headline was "Future of graphic design? No experience necessary." What a fucked up thing to say, especially since they market design tools. Like it's a slap in the face of all designers that went to school.
Seems geared to an older, “adult alternative” crowd, but I qualify, and the lineup would suit the ever-patient wife and I both- and it’s driveable. Given that Newport is limited and sells out even before they announce the lineup, it’s not surprising promoters would try to satisfy an overflow demand. That said, WTF- a full lineup 13 months in advance?!? Who knows what breaking artists will surface between now and then, or what I’ll be listening to in late 2022? Or what else will be scheduled? Tempting, but too early to commit the weekend and $$$ to anything- it’s a wait and see for us.

Alaska's State Fair lineup used to be complete garbage but I'm pretty sure they got a new booking team who actually started giving a shit. It's not amazing by any means but much better than what we used to get.
They did land Juice WRLD in 2018 which was kinda cool, put on a pretty good show too.

Juice WRLD is good but Portugal the Man, Clutch, and Billy Idol are bad?

I know this has little to do with the topic at hand, but this venue near me used to put on a festival every year featuring mainly up-and-comers and I was marveling at how great this lineup is in hindsight
I believe tickets started at $30 for a 3-day pass (4 acts per night)

I think he said they were better names than they normally get, and there’s nothing wrong with Juice WRLD
They friends. I feel like Jay and SB went on his show for Dahvie Vanity. It was unsettling to say the least. It’s even more unsettling when you start to root for juggalos.
E: Not Silent Bob but whatever his name is (Shaggy 2 Dope).

Tampa in October, Nas and SE Saturday, ST Friday, GM Sunday. I'll probably go Saturday living right here. A few other bands could get me out another day.
