it's about that time of year again. share all your tips & "trix" for bonnaroo survival. i've been to a bunch of bonnaroos and made really good grades here is what i've learned:
1. All you really need is a tent and a big blanket to put over it. The sun is bright and a heavy blanket will help keep the brightness out. You don’t want to be exposed to the elements.
2. Before you leave for roo apply a thick layer of sunscreen to keep you good for the weekend.
3. Try not to speak to your neighbors, bonnaroo is full of thieves and if you get to close they will steal from you or hurt you
4. Start drinking heavily first thing in the morning. You’ll wanna have a good buzz going when the music begin.
5. For shoes all you need is a flip flops
6. Hot dogs are great to bring bc they don’t really go bad. You won’t need ice, just keep them in the shade in your tent. You don’t even need to cook them. Eat as many as you can to keep your energy up.
7. Portos are nasty and full of disease, just designate a spot near your tent to shit and piss. If your neighbors complain don’t respond see #3
8. Your clothes are going to get nasty you could ruin your clothes. Just bring one pair of clothes for hte weekend you will be fine
9. If you come with a big group never ever leave your group. Only go to the shows you can all agree on. If you can’t agree just stay at camp and drink and eat your non refrigerated hot dogs. Don’t be alone at bonnaroo ever, see #7 and #3
10. You can buy drugs from anybody its fine
11. Don’t drink too much water, sometime you drink too much and your stomach aches.

Make sure to not bring a camelbak unless you want a bunch a freeloaders mooching off your water. Just bring some vodka in the fake sunscreen containers.

Pro tip that has helped me through the years: It gets really hot so just go without a shirt the whole weekend. You'll get a nice tan and don't worry about getting sun burnt or anything, you'll be in a crowd and that'll block the sun.

I saw you can make a flask out of spam, to help save space

This person cannot spell Centeroo, so they obviously cannot be trusted. 3post1jack1 is a well respected member of this board and has never given anything but the best advice including the most accurate map of Bonnaroo ever produced.
Honestly I find a lot of the advice listed so far in this thread to be pretty outdated. I'm going to propose some new rules for Bonnaroo:
1. Don't pick up the phone, he's only calling 'cause he's drunk and alone 2. Don't let him in, you'll have to kick him out again 3. Don't be his friend, you know you're gonna wake up in his bed in the morning 4. If you're under him, you ain't getting over him
