surprised i'm voting this but it'd probably be lizzo. having said that i won't be heartbroken losing any of these artists, but:
foo fighters - i just know a lot of foo fighters songs and they always put on a good show. i've seen them a bunch.
megan - she's had some of the hottest singles of the past year or so. should be a high energy show.
tame - not a big fan but i do like them. partly didn't vote for them just because i know it would be upsetting for so many inforooers and that would make me sad.
tyler - i like tyler and enjoy all his records. plus he's on a hot streak right now, new record is interesting.
rufus - i've never seen them before and am surprised to find how much i enjoy some of their songs. never really gave them a shot before this lineup, i assumed they were an odesza weak sauce situation but their songs have a cool synth pop vibe that resonates with me.
i like lizzo but she hasn't released anything in a while (although i know that will change soon). i was super excited for her in 2020 but her big singles from 2019-2020 left my rotation pretty quickly, which makes me wonder if she'll have staying power in my long-term library. maybe her best is yet to come, but from where i'm at right here today she'd be my choice to be dropped.
Rufus - totally unfamiliar. Tyler - I haven't been too into anything I've heard. Megan - I'd like to see her but I don't need to. Tame - I'd like to see them since the last time I tried they ended their set super early and I missed most of it. Lizzo - Excited for this one. Foos - It's ridiculous that I haven't seen them yet.

got it. i could totally be wrong, i'm coming from a place of ignorance since i know so little about rufus, and haven't seen lizzo other than a bit of her show in a tent at bonnaroo... 2016 i think? that rufus covid streaming show from joshua tree looked pretty cool to me though, but obviously the beautiful natural setting helped with that.
would be totally fine with nobody cancelling and me coming back and singing praises about lizzo's live performance.
For sure. They're not bad at all and would likely appeal to you a little more than they do to me. But I still liked them. I split sets between them and Rainbow Kitten Surprise. We started at RKS which I thought was better. But I wasn't mad about splitting. I only saw Lizzo that afternoon main stage set at Voodoo (18?). I thought it was great. I think even Blotter or Longinus mentioned it, and you don't see either of those guys going out of their way to mention a set like that very often.

Have you ever seen them live? I'm a casual fan and have only seen them twice (Float, ACL). But each time it was my favorite show of that specific festival. Both performance were very dreamy - so outside of singing along, it's not like the audience is going to break out into dancing or mosh pits or anything. But the screen projections they played along to were complimentary to the sound. Lots of colors and pastels and **** to go along with the sound which was very clean. I'm curious to see if they will continue that chill style of show at Bonnaroo or if it's going in a different direction.
I voted Tyler. Megan is the one I least care to see, but I also know there will probably be a couple other good options during her set if I want to check something else out. Tyler's Lolla set definitely looked like a good headlining set from what I watched, but I'm just not really into his music for the most part, so a different headliner to close the festival would be appealing for me. But it all depends on who the replacement would be.
You could say the exact same thing about Foo Fighters though.
this is true but at least the Foos recognize that are are going to mostly play the hits
Guess we'll have to see what the Rufus setlist brings. I didn't care for most of the tracks on Solace, but their live show in 2019 was still really cool.

I still think tame is crazy overrated, but Currents was the first time I appreciated them. Was the first time I noticed Kevin is a decent songwriter. And I respected the switch from a fuzzy psychedelic sound to a clean neo yacht rock sound. Took guts to do that.
