I realize the idea of waking up early on Saturday at Roo to go for a run probably seems crazy to most people. And I won't argue with you lol. I'm training for an October marathon anyway, so bring it on!!
I have no problem waking up early to run in the heat, but it's the waking up early to run in the heat and then still being able to make it to 3:30am that has me saying no.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
This will be my fifth trip to the Farm and first since 2016. In past years, I remember thinking WTF are these crazy people doing running out here. I'm all in now though. Strategic napping will be crucial for that 3:30 a.m. partying. Luckily, the first half of Saturday's schedule doesn't have any must-see acts for me. I'll be able to laze around in the shade until Isbell hits the stage and I go hard the rest of the night.

You aren't going to Phoebe Bridgers? 😯
There's a good chance I'll be there, chillin toward the back. I dig Phoebe.
My kid did it last Roo (2019) and came in 5th. He was 17 & in high school. He is now a DI runner at Clemson. I think he said the ones who came in ahead of him were all collegiate runners. He would love to run it again but has a collegiate meet the day before in Georgia. Next year though.
Ok I signed up. My face will be bright red for the rest of the weekend but it’s happening.
I'll try to come cheer for you. I've been cheering on runners since the first one in 2013, when Chico won (he didn't win, we just told everyone that he did!)

I love these pics! I remember seeing the run in 2013 and thinking I would never risk the heat, but I’m training for a half now anyway so felt like the right year. Kudos to your kiddo!!

Any inklings on whether we’ll have a Roo Run this year? Camping with a half marathon buddy and would love to get out there. Won’t do it just for fun on our own unless we put the registration money down (hence, being half marathon people - at least me).
