putting aside arguments of "band x isn't a jamband":
bottom options IMO are Dispatch, Rusted Root, or Lotus. I barely remember anything about Lotus or Dispatch. I haven't listened to Rusted Root in many years but have some fond memories of riding around stoned with friends, all of us trying to do our best impressions of their lead singer doing "send me on my way". and i feel like i remember some cool jamz from Lotus. so i'm going to vote Dispatch.
We should do this in reverse and crown the worst jamband. Choosing between Phish and MMJ at the end of this thing is going to be anticlimactic
not to mention it will upset me when MMJ wins a "jamband" competition over phish even though it's just a poll on a drug festival message board with like four actual phish fans.
I liked dispatch in high school but they broke up before I ever saw them. I was visiting a high school buddy in Colorado one summer and they did two nights at red rocks right after they got back together. It was the exact same quacking show both nights. identical set lists, they "jammed" but it was the same damn thing both nights. They even did the same gimmicky "run into the audience and play [the same] solo on the soundboard roof" both nights. Really, really lame shiz. They were there for a 3 night run and I'm glad we didn't get tickets for the sunday show and just went camping.

That's some real BS right there. I'd expect that from a dinosaur act or an act with show that is very FX/Pyro specific but that's ludicrous.
