Daft Punk for now.
Radiohead is the board's favorite band. I love them, but I don't think they're the best thing to ever exist, so I think they should stick around for a few more.
I guess I'll switch my vote to Daft Punk. I still think that Radiohead is more properly rated here than Daft Punk but more than that I think SD is more overrated and I think that they need to stay in the tourny.
Probably. They're one of those hotly sought after acts in the drafts that a lot of basic music fans wouldn't know a thing about because they haven't really had crossover success. By comparison Daft Punk has headlined Lolla and were a huge deal at the Grammys a few years back and Radiohead is equally acclaimed both on this board and in the world at large.

he has less cross over appeal than them but he’s also less popular here than them. Part of why he’s big in drafts is rarity and being in a less popular genre.
i don't think inforoo overrates daft punk. the pyramid show at coachella and the subsequent tour completely defined the path of popular electronic dance music that continues to this day (for better or worse). it's not a linear path worldwide, electronic music was happening on big stages with light shows and lasers and such internationally, but in the years following that performance came the term "EDM" and live performances characterized by massive visual elements syncing up with the music. it took electronic music from an underground phenomenon to main stage entertainment for the masses.
how many acts can you at least make the argument for that a single live performance had a significant impact on an entire musical culture? hendrix at woodstock? that sex pistols first show at st. martin's college of art? the ramones at cbgbs? elvis on ed sullivan? it's a small list.
so even if you think their music is overrated (i would disagree with you), their impact on music certainly isn't.

I don't disagree. I do think that both are less overrated than Steely Dan. Like, we shouldn't talk about them ever here. At all.

I don't think Aphex is overrated, but I do think he gets drafted for clout more than genuine affection for his music. So keep him around until the Daft/Radiohead tier gets bounced.
