The big complaint on Reddit is the EDM lineup this year lol. Like with 4 EDM fests in Chicago I don't get why Perry's would be the draw for people to attend this festival.

I very nearly made it to Sunday of Lolla last year because my second cousin wanted to see Alison Wonderland, and I only didn’t because he sprained his ankle. The EDM fans are very real
This is like seeing an old friend who dated a string of destructive people date someone who probably isn't going to work out, but probably isn't killing them either
This isn't an incredible lineup, but it isn't embarrassing, and that's a great step for them

at what other festival can you see David Solomon DJ-ing in front of a crowd old enough to be his future fourth wife

Off the dome I'd see:
Metallica Dua Lipa Green Day Glass Animals Billy Strings Big Sean Charli XCX IDLES King Princess Girl in Red Denzel Curry Willow Royal Blood Maneskin Manchester Orchestra Local Natives Caroline Polachek Bob Moses Chelsea Cutler Remi Wolf Dashboard Confessional Beach Bunny Tinashe PinkPantheress Muna Goth Babe Wet Leg The Wombats The Regrettes Keenyhoopla Djo Genesis Owusu HINDS RBCF Sampa the Great Erica Banks Flipturn Meet Me @ the Altar (which strikes me as a weird Lolla booking, but w/e)
that's 38 acts. On the one hand, that's heavily schedule dependent, OTOH Metallica/Dua/Green Day is worth the $350 by themselves.
In the top, middle and bottom lines it seems like rock and indie rock definitely made a comeback this year. This is a much more balanced lineup genre wise compared to the last few years.
This is quite good I think. Will still likely go to Osheaga (I can drive there from NYC area), but I would go to this if I was local. Pretty good genre balance.

If they manage to get Dua on a Friday or Saturday with decent support I'd think about a single day. probably not wanting to pay the price to see her solo show so this could work out well

She's probably going to be Friday . Based on the headliners touring schedules I would expect the breakdown to be something like this
Green Day vs Doja Dua vs MJK J Cole vs Kygo Metallica vs Lil Baby
I’ve been very busy today but I love this lineup. There’s a lot throughout this entire lineup that gets me excited. The EDM and Rap seems to have been toned down especially from 2021.
The only gripe I have as of right now is that the Hip Hop performers aren’t as good as last year, but it’s still solid. Really hope YG still performs FDT.
