My husband and I once drove Dave Maynar and his lady from Shaky Knees to a lunch meetup. He seemed to get a kick out of our banter. He’s a great guy, wonderful father, and fun to watch at a Deafheaven show. Like he just stands there mesmerized by George Clark. RIP

He just stands and watches every show like that. Never seen him dance. Never seen any show of emotion. He could hate going to shows for all I know. Great guy.
I haven't been doing these in awhile which is nothing against people who have been eliminated recently but Dave was my Secret Santa in 2019 and he sent me a great shirt that I wear all the time and a letter from Uncle Joe Biden that was very funny, recommending I watch the movie Primer and read A People's History of the United States.

rip Dave. I like how he participates in lots of different threads (other than games, which he should do.) I think his banter with other members is pretty funny and I enjoy his eclectic music taste. Good poster.

Once Dave and I left a museum in Knoxville headed to a small club up the street. Dave says “I KNOW A SHORTCUT” and I blindly followed. We spend the next 15 minutes hiking up the side of a mountain to get to said club. I was wheezing so bad and pretty sure I had a foot falling off at the ankle by the time we got there though.
In his defense, we did make it. And for that, I thank him.
LD: I like that LD participates in inforoo games and one of the few people that joins the jqbx battles which were a great part of covid lockdown.
