I don't remember the exact context, but didn't we let someone pick Tony Hawk's son's hyperpop project since they'd performed at a virtual festival in Minecraft or something like that? Obviously the stakes are a bit higher here, but seems like there may be at least some draft precedent

Yeah I think he's doing the best so far, but it's early. Definitely striking a good balance between realism and creativity. It's a lineup that I could see Firefly booking but it's not so similar to past lineups that it's boring.

tbf there's still like 90 rounds left. Of course we all kind of want to pick similar stuff now, but I think with time there's going to be a lot clearer differentiation between everyone.

I think that's where the lack of competition for Coachella and ACL is coming in handy. I don't have to worry about being swiped so I can focus on picking unique stuff or just being the first person to pick something.
Something gets taken, I can just save it for later, even if everyone possible ends up having them.
