Cereal isn't the best but it should get some points for convenience. Don't have time to make an omelette every morning or grab a breakfast burrito all the time, but a bowl of golden grams or raisin brand crunch has done the job plenty.
Today's catering breakfast makes me wonder why bagels aren't on this list again.
Bagel, cream cheese, over-medium egg, salmon, red onions, avocado and spring mix. Amazing. But I guess I will have to just remember this is an "egg sandwich" and move that up higher on my list.

a bagel, cream cheese, smoked salmon, and red onion is one of my favorite things to eat, period, and a wonderful breakfast. but if the smoked salmon sucks or the onions aren't fresh it can also be terrible.
i've never had it with egg or avocado as you suggest. i'm sure it'd be good but i think the cream cheese provides enough fatty flavor.
Cereal is the only one of these with Halloween varieties. Booberry. Frankenberry. Count Chocula.
Mix up some male and some cinnamon Cheerios? Delicious.
Cap'n Crunch? Fruity Pebbles? Cocoa Pebbles? All great once in a while.
That said, I probably only eat cereal about one a month and that's because I've got kids and there are always like five boxes in the house. (I don't let them have the overtly sugary stuff. Except the Monster cereals. They can have one bowl every Sunday during October.)
I don't really feel that strongly about it. I just don't think that the hate is justified.
I once knew a girl who was lactose intolerant and said she put OJ in her cheerios. I thought she was full of shiz. But then I saw it with my own eyes. Totally bizarre and seems awful, but she'd been doing it since she was a little kid and just got used to it I guess.
I enjoy cereal, as long as it doesn't tear up the roof of my mouth. Cocoa Pebbles and Cap'n Crunch can f right off. Reeses Puffs toe the line but it's usually not too bad and the taste is worth it.
I don't get cereal too often anymore because I usually don't eat breakfast and then it goes bad, but if I get some nowadays it's usually just Raisin Bran, because I'm destined to be a disappointment to my childhood self. Cinnamon Toast Crunch still rocks though.
Without cereal, we also wouldn’t have had that PR debacle of furries posting too much porn in the mentions of the Frosted Flakes Twitter account, so it can’t possibly be that bad.
