I think Coldplay’s live show is being slept on a little here. I get the sense that if there was a big inforoo group at a Coldplay set, it would be a much better time than a group of us at a Muse show. Plus you get those nice little light up wristbands.
i'd happily yell-sing "The Scientist" with you while truevine, Vieux and others with the bad opinion that Muse is better are busy pouting in a corner
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

i went into this thinking coldplay probably puts on a great show but this video is pretty lame.

I didn’t really watch it, I just posted it to show the wristbands. This videos better.
I actually had kind of a similar experience last night - I listened to “Clocks” for the first time in a while because I thought it was my favorite Coldplay song and I actually didn’t like it as much as I thought I did! Oh well.
I believe I am the one who voted for Rummy here, sir. She is the real bad guy here making us debate between two acts that most people don't really care about.

Hey now. First of all, I NEVER pout in corners. I have no energy to waste on pouts and definitely not in a corner. Secondly, I can't believe you lumped me with truevine!

Sometimes songs are so infectious they instantly become cliches. Yellow, Clocks and the Scientist are all that. Speed of Sound is that. Viva La Vida is that. People literally hate Coldplay for being too good at writing pop music.

I saw Coldplay at MSG on the X&Y tour during my music journalist days, and I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed their show. Not that I didn't think it'd be good, but I walked out more or less making this face:
I maintain that Rush of Blood is a kick-ass record. But, I will admit I fell off with them after X&Y, and haven't been into much in their purer pop phase.
Still, given the choice, I'd rather see them than Muse.
Absolution is better than Cold Rush, but I really don't like the way muse arranges their sets and don't play most of the songs I want to hear consistently

Speaking for myself I didn’t like them as much because they were a rock band and they shifted to total pop music that I wasn’t into at all.

Coldplay has always been pop. They got more pop but they have always been pop.
