They make the greens stage look like it’s on the part of the golf course that extends further south that’s west of the river, but it’s on the east side of the river right? Seems like it’s a lot closer to back nine stage if that’s the case.
Anyone who has been to one of these fests want to draw on a Google map screenshot to give us a realistic idea of where at least some of the stages will actually be?
Check the parking map. Everything is east of the river. All of the emergency exits on the west side are the bridges.
Right that’s what I thought. And if you look at parking map, the greens stage aligns with the north end of the bowl. Whereas the venue map makes it look like the stage aligns with the 50 yard line (center) of bowl. So the walk looks a lot longer on the venue map than what it really should be, right?

At Cruel World they seemed a bit closer. You could be at what would be the back 9 and see the greens stage by looking right. The bowl is just there for reference, I wouldn't try to line up the stage to any real world reference with it.

ahhhhh!! the greens and fairway are so far away and those will be my two most frequent stages 😳 im going to be getting a LOT of miles in this weekend. luckily I'm taking Monday off work to recover HA good luck yall !
Funny how its set up almost like FYF when it was at state historic park and the walks were pretty similar with going from one end to the other.
Maybe, but that park is so much more narrow, FYF was like a row of stages along roughly the same meridian line (or whatever you want to call it). Unless maybe the map is misrepresenting the size of say 19th and really it’s just along the path between the two main stages.

I’m in Los Angeles (well, Woodland Hills, technically) and I’m currently eating burritos. I’m also day drinking and thinking about riding a bull sculpture out front.
Glad to be on vacation, y’all. Officially ready for the weekend. My secondary goal is to meet as many of you as possible so feel free to dm if you’re solo.

What is the Uber situation getting out of the venue at the end of the night like? We have an AirBnB a couple miles away, so it would only be about a 5 minute drive home but would still like to avoid having to drive ourselves if possible.

Likely not terrible if you leave before the end. Or just take the shuttle for free to get back into old town and dont get killed on the pricing.
So it looks like there are nine bars vs eight at Cruel World plus the Sierra Nevada, Soonish and Dos Equis stands. Maybe the beer lines won't be as bad?

I can't remember if you have to show anything to get on the Parsons shuttle back, but I'm willing to bet jumping on the shuttle and then calling an Uber from the Parsons lot is gonna be way easier and way cheaper than trying to get one from the Rose Bowl grounds.
Is the area around the Parsons lot nice enough at night or kinda sketchy? Mrs Gazer might leave before me and we're wondering if she'll be uncomfortable if she's alone there. I assume there will be lots of fest people milling around and she'll be fine but it would be nice to know what the area's like.

If I remember correctly it’s near Old Town, right? If so then yea that’s the ritzy part of Pasadena, she should be fine.
Can anyone point to where there are good deals for resales? Ms. Dummy wants to come along for LCD but doesn’t wanna pay more than $70 for a single day.

Its literally Old Town. With it being saturday night there will be tons of people out along with cops.
Just tell Mes Gazer to walk to Colorado blvd and hang out with the unsketchy white follk.
A bulletin like that would have to be based on the max capacity of the event and not actual tickets sales. No way they make them divulge actual ticket sales, not to mention that will still be a moving target, esp if they are selling at the box office (not sure if that’s the case)
