If it was happening they will be shooting themselves more in the foot with only a 4 month lead up as opposed to the 9 months last time. Unless they know Primavera isnt happening at all then theyll have the market all to themselves again. Re:Set feels like a smarter way for them to pivot on single day mini fests and not risk ending up in the red cause the price point is pretty attractive and you can def generate some last minute sales with a $100 ticket. If they can get 10- 15k a day for those dates in June I think Gv will feel good about it. And they can continue to do this along with potentially finding other markets.

Isn't this what Just Like Heaven is doing, though? 10-month lead for 2022, 4-month lead this time. I have no idea how it's selling but I'm still feeling good about waiting for the second-hand market for that one.
Honestly, I'd be cool with JLH and TANP alternating years if it helps sustain things, especially since JLH is already booking repeats in its third year.

So LA really isn’t having a multi genre summer festival? This feels discriminatory. Tasha Sultana announced a tour starting in San Diego late august with no LA date. So I’m very confused lol
Interpol & The Walkmen 11.23 I Am Morbid/Suffocation 11.26 King Diamond 11.29 Sadistic Intent/Massacre 11.30 70K Tons Of Metal 2025 Hell's Heroes 2025 Sick New World 2025 Maryland Deathfest 2025

PSLA is taking a year off and Goldenvoice doesn't have any plans (at least that were shared with me), so I guess they might both come back next year? There was that rumor about a multi genre gv festival at LA historic park but when I asked someone they didn't know anyone about it. I think this year Goldenvoice is concentrating on re:set and power trip.

Re:Set probably a smarter way of doing things this year by doing 3 shows with lower overhead than busting out a whole lineup. It would be cool if they did a smaller fest at the park again. Considering Primavera took such a bath in the red why roll the dice again. People can go to LIB instead or Sam Diego with Bleached.
Is LA experiencing a much higher amount of concerts in general this summer? Could be the effect of having no festivals.
I don’t know about regular tours but this summer has Ed Sheeran, Taylor, Drake and Beyoncé til the end of September. I’m sure that’s a lot of people’s big money summer music splurge lol
