I had never heard the Do They Know it's Christmas until I googled it right now and WOOF those lyrics. Standing by my Baby It's Cold Outside vote because of the fact that actually I know this song, have heard it every fucking year even after it was "canceled" and have always hated it. Do They Know It's Christmas is definitely next up for me.
Wait, what??? Feels like everybody just breezed past this stunning piece of news. This belongs in the Confessions Thread! It's amazing you've gone your whole life and never heard it. I'd be pissed if I were you that others made me listen to it now.
honestly in these earlier rounds I’m voting based on how much a song annoyed me when it played on the Christmas radio station at the old building I worked at.

Do I get an award? Most of the Christmas songs I know/listen to are from middle - high school choir. Otherwise, I try my damnest to not listen to it at all. I was a grinch for a really long time. Luckily while working at Steak & Ale for longer than I care to admit, the 8-tracks they used still in the 90s/00s only had "classic" Christmas music on it as well. That song was not a fun one to google first thing for sure.
As a Hispanic person who absolutely LOVES Jose Feliciano’s music (the guy who sings Feliz Navidad) - it is a terrible song and it’s truly awful that this song is his best known work.

I can already tell you that "Christmas Time is Here" will have my support all the way down. That soundtrack is my favorite Christmas album and along with Joni Mitchell's "River", is one of the saddest Christmas songs I know.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
