Working in environmental policy type things as well, I super related to Rummy talking about that craving for tangible progress and goals actually getting met. Some people I work with are forever stuck in the ideal place of they want things to be, and they end up not getting much joy out of work because we never really end up in the ideal.

In my defense re: 2016 Brunch, I was not given a choice regarding start time for the speech. I was also definitely not in a spot where I should have been given a microphone because I was... hammered.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Also the contrast between the suburb/rural life and city life is going to be interesting.

No but it is one of the main reasons I decided to start venturing to Tennessee for so many years. And my parents made sure to go on a vacation each year to the south and non-NE destinations. I wouldn't be able to live without a car in a rural area
This is going to be the main part of my interview now
I say "Time is a construct." all the time. If it happened more than a week ago, I really have no concept of when it was. I think I told alawre about that again last night actually. 😄
