As one of the resident Pittsburghers on the board, I will confirm that ketchup is indeed delightful.
Does it not taste like trash up there?
Edit: For real tho, part of it is my father in law puts about half of a gallon size jug of Heinz on everything he eats and now the thought of it makes me nauseous.

ranch is pretty much the safest choice for a condiment, IMO. some ranches are better than others but i've never really had a "bad" ranch dressing. but i've certainly had bad honey mussey, bbq, etc.

idk most bottle ranches are pretty bad. No idea why but the stuff that's in restaurants is far superior to the stuff you can get at the grocery store.
I've never made my own but I know it isn't hard. I should give that a try one day.

OK this is a good point, i was mostly thinking of ranches you get at restaurants. but yeah shelf stable ranch bottles can be bad. you can get a decent ranch in the refrigerated section of the grocery store.

i know it can be polarizing but if i could only have one condiment it would be mayonnaise. great on sandwiches, burgers, and fries. i don't think i've ever use mayo with tendies but would do so.
