Soma at OSL required masks and the indoor club at Bottlerock required masks. the line to get into the club at Bottlerock was too long so I never went in, but I heard masks were enforced pretty strict.
I don't know what the club is like at Bottlerock but I think it would be pretty difficult to enforce masks in the Yuma. Especially if it was crowded.
the Club was similar, it was a dark indoor space so pretty similar to the Yuma (other than the music).

I’m certainly hoping they do something a little more open air for the Yuma and Sonora next year. Might require putting the Sonora somewhere different (like where Heineken House was in 2019) and be not quite as good, but Yuma can be kinda grimey as it is (especially the bar, which is a petri dish). I think there are other stage design concepts that are open air but with ample shading that could be decent replacements

I would take a Silk Sonic headlining set over most things. It would be a guaranteed cheesy good time. Their album is only 30 mins so they could do some fun covers or some Bruno/Paak songs to fill time. Stevie Wonder guest appearance maybe?

I would go to this set and enjoy it, I just don’t think it merits a headlining slot. If they want to get a headliner out of this they should just book Bruno and let him incorporate it into his show

Book Bruno and Paak, and then save 45 minutes for Silk Sonic and some cool covers.

But in this scenario we would get like an hour of Bruno Mars solo. It would be the first time Silk Sonic is billed anywhere so if Coachella bills it a headlining show it wouldn’t be awkward imo
This is the secret Coachella thread for non-idiots.
Realistically, how low do you think they could get away with billing Silk Sonic? I feel like they could be third on their day but maybe that’s totally nuts.
I think Anderson would accept anything top 3, but I don't see Bruno accepting anything less than headliner.
Silk Sonic itself doesn't deserve headliner, but half of a Silk set would most likely be Bruno and Anderson running through their own songs. And Bruno playing his huge hits is why I don't think they'd be billed lower than headliner.
On a poster it should realistically say "Bruno Mars & Anderson .Paak (featuring Silk Sonic)" Or just "Bruno Mars featuring Silk Sonic"
Bruno and Anderson combined could bring out a TON of guests as well. Dr. Dre, Kendrick, Smokey Robinson, Cardi B, Mark Ronson, Thundercat, Gucci Mane just to name a few
If nothing else I think it'd be really fun, we already know how great of a performer Anderson is. I'd personally only have maybe 4-5 Silk songs (Leave The Door Open, Skate, Smokin Out The Window, and 777 for sure), let Anderson do at least Bubblin, Am I Wrong, Tints, Make It Better, and Dang! (by Mac Miller). And the rest have Bruno run through his hits. Open with 777/Skate, solo stuff in the middle, end with Smokin Out The Window/Leave The Door Open
