Kinda OK
There is stuff I want to see, but might not be worth flying out for. I cancelled my layaway, but left my flight in place (for now) and will check around resale later.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

torn between bad and kinda OK. when i first saw the full lineup i was in the kinda OK, because i skipped straight past the headliners and got into the undercard, which is pretty good. but later when i really looked at that top 9, the top 9 is bad.
and given the high investment needed to do bonnaroo, including cost, time, travel, and calories burned, i think more weight should be put on the higher names. so i think it's maybe bad.
I haven't been to Bonnaroo since 2011. There have been plenty of lineups since then that I'd loved to have gone but I've been living overseas for a decade and couldnt ever realistically pull it off. Since I've just returned stateside last fall I was heavily considering going this year. At first glance I don't think this lineup has enough for me to cover the cost.

Bruh don't you want to be all muscle.. BURN DEM CALORIES
(yes I'm ignoring everything else about this lineup right now)

I was just about to ask if calories burned is a plus or minus.

ha, all i meant was it's physically hard to do bonnaroo. poor phrasing for me, i love burning some calories, but the heat and size of roo creates some challenges that can decrease overall enjoyment.

I'll be weird. I think the heat and challenge of the fest is part of it. I needed to be knocked down to understand what the body and mind can handle.
I also have more years on me, so I know how to keep myself out of the shit zone. Try Bonnaroo '10 and '11 that heat was UNBEARABLE
4/9 for the top 9 and really digging the undercard. Stevie and Tool never seen and always wanted to so the two headliners carrying a lot of weight for me. Haven’t seen Flume is 5-6 years and never seen Disclosure. I get the Cole, Mgk, 21 and Roddy situation ain’t the best but there’s def enough for me and a good amount of things I’ve never seen which isn’t often.
I’m goin’ with “Kinda OK I guess” with that atrocious top line fer each day. Just woof. But the undercard is strong, although not as strong as I’d like. And yeah, the loss of the three-hour MMJ show is brutal, especially as they haven’t mentioned if King Gizz will be one of their three-hour marathon shows. Which also leads me to think they’ll just have 60-90 minutes.

I went with bad, for my tastes. I'm sure if I was going I'd dig into some acts I don't know and flesh it out... but at first glance I'm not really impressed with it
Coming from how they were doing after they pulled themselves out of the hands of LN in 2018 and booked that 2019, 2020 and 2021 line-up, this is just.. bad.

I remember one of my favorite parts of a Bonnaroo lineup was digging into unknowns. I think that's how I ended up convincing myself to go in 2008, by exploring the undercard. And that ended up being my 2nd favorite Bonnaroo. Maybe if I muster up enough curiousity I could do the same this year.

After digging into the lineup I'm phasing into kinda okay I guess/doesn't matter vibes (lol), my friends are all going back for this so I'm gonna slap on a smile and go have a fun weekend with my favorite people

Not for everyone perhaps, but Tool /= bad any kind of way. And Stevie = ? at this point but I'm hopeful.

I def think you’ll find some gems. Have you listened to much flume or disclosure yet ? My groups all pretty jazzed about Stevie. We all had Friday tickets to shaky knees to see her and she had backed out. So this booking has my little group v happy.

I actually really like Flume! His '15 & '17 Roo sets are some of my favorite EDM shows I've ever attended. Definitely stoked to see him again. I like Disclosure too and I've never seen them so I am excited about that. Stevie is a slam dunk for my friends & I too! Glad yall are getting some redemption
