Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
Not too familiar with SZA, but how high would she be billed at Bonnaroo?
Headliner.
Yeah given where she's landing at other fests I agree. I saw her at a one time only fest in Cleveland a few years ago and it was pretty great but not a headliner level set so I'd hope they've upped production on her set.

anyone else see her daytime other tent show in 2015? she didn't have a lot of music out but the show was good and chance the rapper came out for a song. she's certainly one of the artists i've seen at bonnaroo that's notably bigger than when they made an appearance. it's cool that she was gigging and writing ctrl at the time and now she's a star. i'd love to have her back on the farm
oof, I don’t know what album you listened too. Rap doesn’t need, and especially Kendrick at this day of age doesn’t need banger tracks and big bops. This album was beautifully poetic and deeply emotional, along with a fantastic production. Not his best, but lyrically it just might actually be upon another listen or two.

Idk, I listened to it twice and just thought it was really uninteresting both lyrically and from a production standpoint. Been a fan of all his previous albums but this is one just ain’t it, for me. And from what I’ve been seeing on social media I’m definitely not alone in feeling that way, it seems like this is a pretty polarizing release.

agreed, Kodak being all over this made me lose so much respect for him too. when you associate with a rapist it shows your fans that isnt a dealbreaker

yeah I see it’s been very acclaimed by some and hated by others. But I don’t know how any fans of all his other work wouldn’t like this. This is by far the most heartfelt album he’s put out. Almost as TPAB was for him and people in the same situation as him. Mr. morale is like that but for everyone right now. Several songs made my jaw drop from how much he was saying. This wasn’t just clever bars rhyming. This is by far the most in depth look into his life, it was like Kendrick was rapping his therapy session to us. We cry together was such a cool back and forth argument, on auntie’s dairies he’s rapping about trans rights, Mother I So we made me actually tear up. N95 and Mirror are amazing. There’s Kendrick whole heart and soul in this and just seems weird to me that people want essentially another “DAMN 2” or something. This is one big poetry slam and I’m here for it, lyrically it keeps getting better every time for me.

I definitely wasn’t looking for another DAMN lol. It’s kinda weird to assume that.

sorry I just don’t know the vibe you would’ve liked more. Insert any other style of album Kendrick has done before if not DAMN. This is most like TPAB I would say, I rather have this then another album sounding like GKMC in this day of age. If not those what did you expect the new album to sound like or why isn’t it good besides just stating you don’t think it’s lyrically good, or has good production and stated it was “ass”. What did you want from Kendrick exactly? Banger tracks like DAMN or giving his full potential and really diving into his deep emotional side like what keeps on making him bigger and bigger, talking about subjects in rap most other won’t.

The production on this album is dated and boring. Kendrick sounds like he is fighting half the beats. Kodak Black’s presence is also major turn off. It just didn’t sound good to my ear holes, dunno what else to tell ya ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Just say you have no taste it would save a lot of time

I have better things to do than listen to a straight man use a gay slur to try to get across some half baked point about transphobia, you enjoy tho

That's a pretty narrow view of that song imo. It's pretty obvious to me that the message in that song isn't for the people of inforoo who know that non-LGBT people shouldn't say faggot.
It's whatever though, I don't care to litigate it here. I was mostly just fucking around.

nah i dont fuck with what youre saying here. even if well intentioned, LGBT people (myself included) pretty overwhelmingly disapprove of his use of the slur and deadnaming here, no matter how well intentioned. the ripple effect this will cause in straight people using faggot more is going to be very apparant in the coming months. imagine a white person saying the n word on a song to show how they overcame racism as a child? i dont care who you are or how you intend to use that word, if you arent in that community, dont use it. really sick and tired of people endlessly defending him over this. I’m still a fan of Kendrick for sure, but that song was unnecessary and will do more damage than good. Have already seen so much hostility from his cishet fanbase towards queer people criticising that song
