who do we think are the most likely picks for legacy headliner this year?
Does legacy mean legacy at Bonnaroo (repeat offender) or classic rock legacy?
The latter, I believe, usually hasn't played before, or just once many years prior? I would have said Bob Seger. He hasn't officially retired, but does usually refer to his career in the past tense and has health problems, not to mention Alto Reed's passing.
Paul Simon has officially retired.
KISS is on their final tour, but according to Gene it will end in 2023.
Eric Clapton has bad politics.
Van Morrison? Ringo Starr All Star Band? Steely Dan? Fleetwood Mac? Not sure who's still touring and who will announce for next year.

Van Morrison has the same bad politics as Clapton. He wrote a whole anti lockdown album in 2020

I feel like I say this every year the week after Roo, but I am going to make a legitimate effort to get back next year. Stung a little extra this year not being there since I thought it was going to happen throughout the spring - just too much life stuff that came up and not having concrete plans nixed it all.
Friday Gorillaz - Doja Cat - Run the Jewels
Saturday Kendrick Lamar - Jamie XX - My Morning Jacket

I got told on site that Odesza is already booked as a headliner for next year. Don't wanna out my person in case they got bad intel, but I do trust them.
My personal-wishlist fueled guess for next year's top three is Gaga, Tame, and Odesza.

do you take that headliner could mean top 6 or is this a strictly top 3 thing?

i think it’s worth mentioning that with a new 1975 album coming out soon, i could easily see them making the jump to headliner if they have at least one or two successful tracks off it. they’ve been headliners for alt radio fests for years now and have had some really big songs for almost every album cycle so it’s surprising to me that they’ll still take lower billing. feel the exact same about paramore
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
I'm betting it depends on her schedule since she's an in-demand actress now too. She seems to treat big festival appeareances as one-offs, so maybe if she's shooting a movie around Atlanta it's still possible to keep her theoretical Roo schedule flexible.
