Bonnaroo should just book their lineup as if they were 50% Lockn + 50% baby Coachella. I think they'd sell out every year
counteroffer: 70% lollapalooza, 20% stagecoach, 5% lockn (1-2 jambands), 5% coachella (1 interesting international act that cancels at the last minute)

been thinking about the electronic music. i hate that the year bonnaroo chooses to book some decent house artists they only sold 12,000 tickets. i hope they don't revert 100% back to bass music, but tipper and tipper fam artists would be welcome.
I’ve been worried about this myself, obviously that seems like the logical conclusion, to at least have a lot less house. But it seems like house is becoming the meta a little more. I could be biased, it seems like house is having a lil moment of popularity tho

YYR. it's been a slow rise but it's clear that 4 on the floor electronic music in general has become more popular in the US. tech-house/house/melodic techno type music. so hopefully that bodes well for future roo bookings.
i have this weird dream that one day i'll see Adam Beyer on The Other.

I will re-iterate that I had a great time at the two shows that I spent about 2hrs-2.5hrs awake at end of night. I want to hear house music, though I think they should switch it up more if possible - It'll drag in different audiences and movement at roo is important or you get stuck.

I would like to live that dream. I would also love to see the more rare electronic bookings like the chem bros and whatnot

EDM is tricky, it's my main genre and I saw 3 EDM sets all week because most of the bookings this year were not for me but for somebody else it was their best Roo EDM year.
I think we’ll get one pop headliner, likely a woman (Gaga, Dua, Lizzo, Beyoncé, Billie, Doja, Harry, Lil Nas X) someone at least hip-hop adjacent (Kendrick, Tyler, Drake, Travis Scott, Cardi B, Eminem, The Weeknd), and someone rock-adjacent or for the oldheads (Tame, Bruce, Stones, Jack White, Foos, Metallica, RHCP, Neil Young, Dead & Co - though I think it’s too soon for them too). Wouldn’t surprise me to see Odesza paired with one of the lower-tier headliners. Don’t know that Roo would put them first in their day just yet.
I think Frank and Olivia Rodrigo are at about 0% chance.

Lizzo, The Weeknd, Jack White would get me there 100%.
