also obligatory "i went into a meeting for 90 minutes and come back to several new pages in the headliner thread but it's all just arguing about whether its better to be cold or hot".
We were busy at work this am got on lunch and was like frack yas we’ve got some scoops. Then it was Ohio vs FL and state rankings, classic clout chasers

This made me laugh out loud real loud at work just now.
Kansas is really really bad. Not sure how Indiana could be worse
Got pulled over in Peru, Indiana on my way to Forest after Roo. They ran dogs on us without consent and then wasted 45 mins searching our van before saying "someone must have smoked marijuana near your van at Bonnaroo"
Come on dawg, this is a 100% spot on take on Miami.
This just isn't the Miami I know, but I've lived all over this city, specifically in working class communities... Even here in Miami Beach... And this particular stereotype just doesn't apply.
The only reason I fuck with the rich is to eat them and take their money... Dawg.
So like, Mirtica with the levantacola in Hialeah is less concerned with the appearance she projects than Svetlana in Sunny Isles? Where are you hanging out in Miami that you aren’t encountering vanity in excess?

Like I said earlier blame Roo for not releasing a Roo Clue yesterday
It is going to be -3 F with 55 mph gusts on my drive home for Christmas this Friday. That being said, my top 5 fav midwest cities for shows are Chicago Milwaukee Minneapolis Madison Des Moines
not gonna argue Madison’s place here in terms of raw numbers, but it punches way above its weight in terms of shows based on population
There are at least a dozen music venues walking distance or at most a 5 minute drive, plus free shows and festivals all summer
Definitely more free outdoor concerts from nationally known acts here, than Milwaukee at least. This year’s highlights were Alvvays, White Denim, Tank & the Bangas, The War & Treaty, Lily Hiatt, Aaron Lee Tasjan, CHAI, Indigo De Souza

Wynwood is pretty fun but otherwise Miami is pretty vapid on the whole
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

Obviously cool people can exist anywhere though
Wynwood, while fun, is arguably the most vain/vapid part of town.
People who try to look like they aren’t trying are usually trying very hard.

Madison is dope! Closest concert hub for me, being 10 min closer than Des Moines and 20 min closer than Chicago. I have an old college friend that lives 2 blocks from the capital so we are always walking to places like the Sylvee and Orpheum. I've also been to Live on King Street and Breeze Stevens, as far as outdoor shows go. Still need to hit up Majestic and High Noon one of these days...

I’m about 30 minutes from Riis Park, is riot fest moving there?

Not Mirtica and Svetlana!
Yeah, I can't fux with either of em... But I have encountered them. I will admit that it took a very long time to find my people and my community in Miami. I live in South Beach now amongst the last remaining poors and I love it. I've also lived and worked in North Beach, Westchester, NMB, Little Haiti, and South Miami.
