I’m not team Florida is the best state or anything, but it’s certainly better than most. People that rank Florida as one of the worst are much further from reality than Florida stans.
Nah. The political leadership of the state is actively trying to make the country a worse place for anyone who isn't a straight white male. There are lots of states with that goal but Florida is proudly leading that charge.

i think i'd like to live in denver. i've only been during labor day weekend but the people are nice and things aren't too hustle bustle. there is a big REI store and lots of ice cream places.

This just isn't the Miami I know, but I've lived all over this city, specifically in working class communities... Even here in Miami Beach... And this particular stereotype just doesn't apply.

Driving by Gary or whatever it was on the way to Lolla every year back in the day was quite sad. I've never spent any time there, but I remember thinking it looked like an industrial wasteland. The only person I think I've known from Indiana is a girl from my cohort, and I think her parents cooked meth for a living and didn't pay the bills.
