Anything exceptional going on before 6 on Saturday? I'll prob want to make it out of camp before then but I can take or leave slowthai and I'm not too familiar with much else.
Gunna third femi kuti. Should be a great inforoo meetup set if y'all make it happen. Big time dance party.

I’m gonna second Joy Oladokun and fourth Femi Kuti. I also think Cory Henry and Benee will be fun.

I listened to joy oladukun yesterday, I'll probably go check that out.
But femi kuti is a must see for me. Afrobeat funk. Son of the legendary fela. It's gonna be awesome.
I want to go check out Cory Henry too. Never seen him (I'm sure esteban has). He's a former member of snarky puppy and a phenomenal jazz musician.
Yeah. I’ve seen Snarky, but I think he was solo or with Funk Apostles at that point (certainly was 3 weeks ago when they opened for String Cheese here). He’s a fantastic keyboardist. I hope that the gospel stuff is minimal in favor of the Jazz and Soul/R&B stuff, but I’m not complaining. That’s his foundation since he came up in African American church bands. He’s worked with so many different artists including Ye, Vulfpeck, P-Diddy, Springsteen, Imagine me Draggin, Frank Ocean, etc.
We watched him on tv at Coachella. I liked the rap a lot more than the songs and R&B inspired stuff. But it should be fun considering they don’t have enough rap at Bonnaroo this year.
Like, if this were a draft and someone chad 2/3 stages dark at the same time on Thursday they'd get dinged for it. It takes so little effort to shift them by like fifteen minutes and consistently have two choices at all times.
They could also make some slight changes throughout the weekend and provide fifteen more minutes per set.
I mean, the lineup is what it is at this point but the schedule could be better executed.
We should get all the major summer festivals together and make them pick their lineups via draft using inforoo rules.
The artists have no say, if they get picked, they have to play. No Europe fests that summer for them.
But, seriously, they should let us make the schedule.

I didn’t see him at Coachella but I know people said it wasn’t great. Idk, I saw him at III Points last year and thought he was good. It actually made me more of a fan because I didn’t care about him that much beforehand.
I'm in a tough spot. Been listening to king gizz since the 2021 lineup and really enjoy their stuff. Of course they conflict with disclosure, my other top act this year. I totally understand why people say don't worry about the lineup, worry about the schedule
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

just saw disclosure on their tour & they were fantastic.

I second the Joy Oladukun recommendation. Also sounds like Shannon and the Clams will be sometime, somewhere, early Sat. They look like a fun set.

They’re sooooo good live!!!! I’m so stoked they got added.
What are some of the undercard bands everyone is pumped for? I see people saying Weval a lot. What else? Also is this the only music message board that still gets burn these days?
Mine top three smaller bands that I'm looking forward to are Indigo De Souza, The Dip, Daniel Donato (absolute shredder on guitar).
Goth babe is probably my top undercard this year. Was really good at okeechobee, and I was able to get more into who he actually is other than just his music. His YouTube channel is great, talks about living in his van just doing what he loves. And on top of that his music is just amazing , his live show visuals are just his van life adventures & his dog running around lol

If you’re looking for a live set that’s gonna be loud as fuck, super energetic, has multiple breaks for to open up the pit, moshing to Aqua’s Barbie Girl, then yes, you’ll love Slowthai live.
If you’re looking for a tight, set with great vocals, you will not enjoy Slowthai. His shows are more of an experience I guess. Not my thing but caught him before Lizzo at Glasto 2019 and people were mental.
I'm coming to recognize that the universe just doesn't want me to see LP Giobbi again. She's playing Tuesday in Philly but was announced as an opener for Sofi Tukker after tickets were already sold out, both of her sets are conflicted out for me at Roo, and then she's coming back to Philly the Sunday of Roo so I won't catch her here then either. This is all very rude.

I'm gonna carry you to her set. I'll bring you back to Goose when she's done.
