my avatar is me wearing a turnpike hat, turnpike shirt, and pointing at a turnpike album on a tapestry that i hang off of my canopy. i'll probably be there three hours early. i'm seeing much more comments about them at bonnaroo than i expected to see across social media.
it’s very tough to choose one but my favorites that they’ll likely play are Before The Devil Knows We’re Dead, Gin Smoke Lies, and The Bird Hunters. Also important you listen to Long Hot Summer Day because that might burn down whatever plaza they play in.

yeah Evan, the singer from turnpike, and Rhett are pretty good friends. they've been known to do some acoustic song swap shows and their bands have toured together.
First off having NGHTMRE on Wednesday is just awesome. I’m not even a big fan of him or Dillon Francis but I think it absolutely a huge step in the right direction to not only have music in the plazas but these are huge artists playing there and where in the woods. Also Air2Earth which is Porter and Channel Tres DJ set?!? This is all such an awesome step in the right direction. Can’t wait to see who else that’s big will be playing there in later years. Who all would you guys like to play in those spots next year. I know people have been asking for more house music. What’s your dream for where in the woods headliner?
And second off since I don’t know where to post it. The lineup for Sacred Rose fest in IL, wow just wow. Literally stacked. I literally know all 26 big names and then still has a lot of amazing smaller names too. Really impressed with their lineup.
Major W on them booking Turnpike for Thursday. I’m guessing them and a few other of these bookings came together very late because if they’re going to pay for them to come - one would have thought they would have liked to had them on the original lineup to help with tickets. This will be Turnpike first run of shows in three years - the weekend run at the Ryman sold out instantly.
Also - seems like we’re on track for a schedule drop the first week of April. Last year they announced the plaza/campground lineup two weeks before schedule drop.

Vnssa on Wednesday , Chanel Tres and Lp dead set are the only things I’d probably check out but I love the fact they are giving programming to us on Wednesday now especially if they are opening up on Tuesday. I wonder if Where in The Woods will be open Tuesday next year haha. I was on the with my best friend who always goes with us before the plaza news dropped and we were saying glad we did Thursday entry because we get antsy waiting all day Thursday and Wednesday night usually not too much to do. This is def a step in the right direction. Nice to see them trying to step it up some. Last Roo in 19 after Phish I was still activated and we went to Where in The Woods and it was just some rando at least now it can be some dj name I’ve heard of and probably don’t like …progress
