Oh wow I thought Win Butler leaving meant the end of Arcade Fire.
Win Butler is still in the band, continuing his quest to write a song that future scholars will all agree sets the standard for cringe. His brother Will has left the band and been replaced by Dan Boeckner, who frankly should know better.
Do you want to dance while also thinking about all the ways you've failed as a human?

Arcade Fire are unfortunately on the Dwight Howard/Russell Westbrook trajectory of people thinking of them as being worse than they are because of one bad season on the Lakers. Everything Now was AF's version of Now THIS Is Gonna Be FUN!
Oh wow. Will left not Win. Somehow I confused that and was curious if Win and Regina were still together on top of all that. I guess that means only sibling issues not marital issues.
Y’all 2020 hype to see Tame at Roo..nope. 2021 LFG round 2 ..nah yall. Having serious ptsd about the show tonight thinking some Covid related cancellation but nothing so far t-minus a few hours. So excited to finally see these new songs live.
I'd rather see MGK than Arcade Fire. They were incredibly boring the one time I saw them.
And to think, when I woke up this morning, I had no idea this would be the day I read the worst take ever.
it's always super surprising because Jaz seems like such a reasonable chill nice smart dude, but every couple of months he drops some shit like "tomato sauce does NOT belong on pizza" just to keep us on our toes.

Pizza is sacrosanct but otherwise you’re not entirely wrong. Sometimes my brain is just like “yeah go ahead, post it. See what happens”.

I would have sent you a message yesterday if I knew you were also going. I would consider going back tonight if I didn’t have beer league hockey.
Anybody who has a chance to see a show on this Tame tour definitely should. The production, sound, and setlist is all killer. I’ve been to a few shows sold out down here at our arena - but never been to one that had felt more packed with people. Last night was the first time I have seen a line for people to have access to get to the floor before the show started.
Tame at Okee was wild. It's hard to say for me what it was really like since I was on the rail, but it's always fun seeing Kevin out of his element at a festival show. They've mixed up the set list a little for this leg of the tour, it was fun to see them do a mini-jam towards the end too.
I'm turning into one of those old guys chasing the Dead around, I'll be at my third Tame show in just a handfull of months at Forecastle. This one is for my eight year old niece though, this will be her second Tame show with me. At first I thought she was humoring me, but it turns out she really is genuinely into them too. I'm going to let her decide where we'll be at in the crowd and such.

Dude Tame was so fucking good at Okee. I saw him in Miami before Covid and it was an excellent show in a smaller venue, but they are a mainstage act and their Okeechobee set was pretty much perfect.
Also super super stoked for Flipturn they are a local band for me and its crazy to see them on the national festival circuit. Their live show and recordings are totally built to be on the mainstage, so I'm excited to see where the next few years take them. Looking forward to the show at the bus!
After seeing footage of these Arcade Fire shows at Bowery Ballroom, I’m going to begin a series of arcane rituals to invoke the drop-our of MGK and his replacement by AF.
It’d never happen in any real, logical world, which is why I’m bringing in the dark magick.
Arcade Fire at Forecastle 2018 was one of the best performances I've ever seen. I'll do some Ouija boards or Bloody Marys or voodoo dolls or whatever you think might work.
I was at this too! One of my fav shows of all time
