wild that Coachella gave Gizz longer than Bonnaroo does
This absolutely blows my mind.
The set lengths really make me miss the old days, even if some bands didn’t fill up their whole allotted time. And the schedule makes it pretty sparse as far as bands I actually wanna see. Only conflict is COIN and All Them Witches really.
Not sure I love the new Silent Disco idea either, but if it allows more people and wait times aren’t stupid it could be nice.

I'm really surprised by the length of the King Gizzard set. I was thinking we might end up with a marathon three hours from them. Kind of a downer, that.
Otherwise, not bad - my biggest major conflict is JBrekkie and Plant/Krauss.
Thursday Nothing > The Weather Station > Weval > Indigo De Souza > Garcia Peoples > Sons of Kemet > Andy Frasco
Friday Dayglow > Regrettes > JBrekkie or Plant/Krauss > The War on Drugs > The Chicks > Lord Huron or Sparkle City Disco > Maybe some of Cole > King Gizzard > Goose > wherever the night takes me after that.
Saturday Joy Oladokun > Femi Kuti > Superjam/Mt. Joy > Chvrches > Billy Strings > Tool > Flume > What I can catch of Rebillet > wherever I can dance after that
Sunday Flipturn > Wax Owls > All Them Witches > Tash Sultana > Puscifer > Herbie > Stevie
Do you want to dance while also thinking about all the ways you've failed as a human?

All in all, can't really complain too much. I knew Fri was going to have a few conflicts. Gonna have to miss Bleachers but whateves. The Robert Plant vs Japanese Breakfast sucks the most for me. Probably have to leave the Superjam early Sat to catch CHVRCHES.

For my personal taste, this is the best schedule they've had in awhile. Minimal conflicts could be cause I'm not into a lot of the lineup but super pumped to see Chris Lake and Lane 8 both getting sunrise sets, both of those will be a party, Lane 8 was amazing at Coachella so I can only imagine what he'll do with an extra 2hrs at Roo. Nothing going on Saturday for me until the superjam, will be nice to have a chill day after going hard till sunrise.

I expected Gizz to conflict with Goose but not with Disclosure. That suuuuuuuucks.
Dude. Same here. This blows also da frack did Disclosure become a late night set. Gtfo. Besides that I’m very happy with the schedule. Also lol Chris lake and Lane 8 have 3 hour sets
Weird Tool only gets 1:30. What’s their normal show run time ? Strings 1:15 is better than 60 min but def wish we got some extended set times, gizzard included.

They played 1:45 when I saw them earlier this year. Maybe they'll run over a bit.

Oh word perfect. I was hoping they don’t play like 2 hours or something and I was missing out on a big chunk of their show.

Seeing Fri and Sat late nights both ending with 3hr house sets is pretty amazing. For years, your only choices for house music late night were the campground sets or Snake & Jake's. Very happy to end each day (or morning ha) with some high energy non-bass music.
I had been slightly considering still going, but this schedule confirms it's a no for me. Saturday night conflicts are just brutal, and Disclosure/Gizz were prob my top 2 for Friday.
Edit: It's also interesting to me that LP Giobbi had like 5 or 6 hours across 3 sets in one day on the 2021 schedule, but appears to have just one 1-hour set here, even though this year is way more house-focused.

So do they post a schedule for that Toyota Music Den later or what? I can't find mention of that anywhere and didn't get that email some people were referring to about it.

She's doing a Grateful Dead house set at Where In The Woods as well.

coming off two cancellations and a poorly selling year, corners are gonna get cut somewhere.

This schedule is pretty perfect for me to be honest! I knew Saturday would be pretty bare for me but I'm happy the few acts I did wanna see don't overlap
Thursday: Nothing > Weval > Indigo De Souza > Sons of Kemet > Goth Babe > Andy Frasco
Friday: Briston Maroney > Tove Lo > Japanese Breakfast > Arlo Parks > The Chicks > Lord Huron > KGLW > Denzel > Lane 8
Saturday: 21 Savage > CHVRCHES > Tool > Flume > Channel Tres
