Adding nothing other than saying I feel like Emotional Oranges could get Marian Hill'd this year - everybody thinking they'll play at night in a tent and they get thrown on the outdoor in the afternoon for whatever reason.
I think Emotional Oranges had a moment that would've been ripe for 2020/2021 but they've lost a lot of steam. I think they'd be fine on the outdoor or in a tent in the late afternoon.
In Google Trends terms at least, the last few months are the least relevant they've been since 2018. No bump from the lineup at all.

Isn't their lighting set up integral to their stage production? That was my understanding, at least back in 2020.

They played during the day at Lolla last year, so while they may prefer certain stage lighting they don’t have to play at night by any means.
Regardless of lighting, putting them directly against Doja Cat seems like a recipe to ensure them a crowd of their manager, friends, three teenage girls who lUv WeSt CoAsT l0vE, and about 10 people who are too high to figure out the schedule and map. Aka CHVRCHES vs Bat for Lashes level crowd disaster.
By the way they are my favorite lineup discovery. No idea how I missed them the last few years because their shit is beyond up my alley. I'd see them over Doja Cat but I'll be Couch-chella'ing this year so I wouldn't be able to join the intimate soiree described above.
Got a message saying Epik High is confirmed for 10pm.
Nice! If they start at 10 then it’s probably safe to assume they are playing Gobi and the tent will likely be quiet for the majority of the SHM set. Probably only one more set after them if the start time is close to 10.

Definitely Gobi or Mojave, since it'll be during Harry Styles and probably not really matter too too much, as their crowd will be on the smaller side regardless. I have them in the Mojave currently, but don't have an issue switching them with someone in the Gobi. Suggestions?

I’d say the Avalanches make the most sense and are the easiest to swap. They played Mojave last time and have the same amount of steam behind them as they did when they last played. The most recent album was much better received than Wildflower IMO.
In an unrelated note have we given any thought to potentially giving LTC a 7:00 start time on the Main similar to Madeon + Porter a couple years back. I like the big gap late start on the Outdoor for the final act but think Lil Baby makes way more sense there even though past precedent states differently.
Main LTC > Daniel Cesar > Harry > SHM
Put Madeon as the act ending on the outdoor ending right before Harry starts and then put Lil Baby starting on the outdoor towards the tail end of Harry and finishing up as SHM takes the stage.

I really feel like Avalanches will wind up in the Gobi. They're my #1 of the whole festival, but I'm not sure they're able to pull much more than Epik High to warrant the larger stage. But of course, if I'm alone here, we can make the change.
LtC had confirmed for the Outdoor in 2020. This doesn't mean that they will 100% be Outdoor in 2022, but I think at least for these predictions, it makes sense to leave them on the Outdoor for now.
How are ya’ll handling the potential SHM/KGATLW or SHM/Avalanches conflict, I am super hyped for KGATLW & Avalanches but I don't see see a realistic possibility where neither interfere with SHM D:

Honestly if Avalanches, KGaTLW, and Baby Keem all close that would be the worst direct conflict for my personal tastes in 11 years since my first Coachella

Conflict that seems most likely to me and I’m most concerned about is Anitta v Hot Chip. One of my favorite bands of all time who I haven’t seen that much and don’t tour frequently anymore vs someone who isn’t my favorite but I’m very interested in and odds are if I don’t see her at Coachella I’ll never see her.

Think im going for Keem if that happens. have a local date for Avalanches and KG and i think the potential of seeing Kendrick definitely elevates him on my list
nightmare conflicts for me are Jamie xx vs Doja Cat, Flume vs Brockhampton, Phoebe Bridgers vs PUP, Freddie & Madlib vs Caroline Polachek, and Fred Again.. vs Denzel Curry

exact same position I'm in, plus would rather travel for one of the 3 hr KG sets

I've never regretted picking Hot Chip when there's a conflict. Always a party.
Saturday is going to be brutal for me. I have 12 must sees and there’s no way that they don’t conflict
This is the same position i'm in too. Wherever Turnstile ends up is gonna control how I approach that day. They deserve to close out a tent, but selfishly I hope they play earlier just to keep my chances of seeing Caribou and Disclosure alive
