So you want to presume they havent at least been in early stages of booking 2023 already? There was a point a few years ago where they had a couple of years sorted in advance with artists that were flexibile on their avail. You think Justin Timberlake was just sitting around waiting for the phone to ring? As its been mentioned quite a bit, why would Frank push to 2023 unless there was somebody in place that they couldnt move away from? ( either SHM and or Kanye ) All the European fests are sorting out next summer already so why cant Coachella do that. How did Primavera get all their artists booked and announced a year in advance? That means they had been working on that the whole year prior.

I feel like Lana won't accept less than a headliner at this point. I don't think Coachella will offer it to her, but she put out two albums since she was booked to sub in 2020 and she probably feels she should headline

Then why was she liked fifth on that one Hangout line-up, and that we pre-Bannisters/Chemtrails was released. Eh, in one year a lot can happen apparently looking how Lil Baby is apparently a sub and Baby Keem is sitting at the end of second line whereas probably nobody had ever heard of the guy prior to this year. Maybe the next second line rapper needs to explode this year lol. So weird how fast second liners can rise and fall apparently, especially in rap. I mean look at where Vince is sitting right now? Swae Lee might be a good shout for a rap act for the second line aswell. And Clairo is huge dude.
Lil Baby was big enough to be top 4-5 on his day even in 2020. Baby Keem became known in 2019 when Orange Soda blew up, it was a radio song in LA at least and then it blew up more on tiktok. Those weren't really overnight/one year blow ups. I love Clairo and I'd be happy to see her billed high, it's def possible, guess I just don't see it right now because her latest album didn't hit like her first one imo

Beyonce announced the On the Run II tour a month before Coachella 2018. She still played 2 soldout nights in LA over the summer. So what the hell is stopping Taylor from doing similar, absolutely nothing. Coachella gets their money, and most likely will be getting a different performance from a regular tour anyway. I didnt see Bey bring out Destinys Child every night at her solo dates. This isnt a one or the other type of deal, you can do everything to make everyone happy. If Adele didnt have that one weekend in April overlapping on Weekend 1, then there possibly mightve been a whole other discussion as to how she was allowed to have a Vegas residency and perform at Coachella.
