i don't know who DJ Drama is, but i don't think Drama is the same artist
lol suuuuuuuper not apparently.
if you listened to Call Me If You Get Lost last year (the Tyler, The Creator album) DJ Drama is the one yelling adlibs throughout. He's been doing it for a long, long time with a lot of different and mostly southern rap artists but that album is definitely the thing he has the most mainstream relevance from right now.

I had come here wondering if anyone posted this. It's a leak, though it seems reasonable. Pretty solid, not great lineup, but enough to be excited about.
New names that really pop out to me: 2manyDJs, 9x9, Adam X (!), DJ Stingray, HAAi, Jon Hopkins, Kobosil, Overmono is a great get, Partiboi69, Sama', Uun.
Also it's extremely notable that now James Murphy, Nancy Whang and Pat Mahoney will be in town.
If I had one gripe it's that they still haven't booked anyone in that minimal tech space that's blowing up currently. Somebody like DJOKO, Chris Stussy, East End Dubs, Devv or even like Mall Grab. It would be a nice way to offset all the tech house.

Jeez, the afters have so many sick DJs who won’t play this: Wata Igarashi, CCL, Physical Therapy, Forest Drive West, Batu, Aurora Halal, Lena Willikens, Martyn, Powder, DVS1, Moodymann, Danny Daze, Paranoid London…that’s an insane amount of amazing music in a weekend.

Where do you find the afters? I’m hoping to catch FDW somewhere someday.

Unrelated to Movement but is there anything good on this lineup that you all suggest. I don’t know many names but have roll over tickets from 2019 lol
roughly breaking out the stages by genre:
fire stage = EDM
earth stage = wookbass/wook music
air stage = techno
water stage = tech house
i think the air stage is the place to be. lauren flax and justin cudmore are good, they are bunker NYC people. kind of that acid sound.
seth troxler is a legend. i think he's kind of already been through his weird junkie period, his more recent sets have been a lot more enjoyable.
nicole moudaber is straight up business techno but she's great. should be a fun set if you like drumcode-y stuff. others may find it boring.
you probably already know CvS, he's a fun time just can get kind of samey. but i dare anyone to see him live and not get down. and seeing a headliner for a daytime set would be neat.
Thanks a bunch. Give me a starting point with the lineup. Appreciate it as always
don't sleep on a Kaskade Redux set, those are always fun, more house than EDM
yeah i just enjoy kaskade in general. he's one of the vegas EDM OGs, and even if vegas EDM isn't my favorite kind of music, i still appreciate he is very good at what he does.

plus I always find it hilarious that one of the biggest Vegas EDM stars is a Mormon who doesn't even drink caffeine
I'm inching closer to making this happen, probably Sunday and Monday. Do most people generally stay in downtown Detroit?
yes seems like most stay at one of the big Marriot hotels right near the festival. Although, Sunday & Mondays best party imo is Where Are My Keys which is about a 20 minute drive NW of the festival.
